On The Existence Of Solutions For Nonlinear Third-Order Q-Difference Equations With Boundary Conditions Involving Q-Integrals, İlker Gençtürk
Turkish Journal of Mathematics
In this research, we focus on investigating the existence of solutions for a q-integral boundary value problem associated with third-order nonlinear q-difference equations. To achieve this, we employ two fundamental mathematical tools: the Banach contraction principle and Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem, which provide the theoretical framework for our analysis. Furthermore, to illustrate the applicability and robustness of our results, we present and discuss several concrete examples that highlight the practical implications of the proposed methods.

Classifications Of Gradient Almost Ricci Solitons Within The Framework Of Closed Conformal Vector Fields, Akram Ali, Fatemah Mofarreh, Jae Won Lee
Turkish Journal of Mathematics
In this paper, we consider gradient almost Ricci solitons with nonparallel closed conformal vector fields. We classify gradient almost Ricci solitons and show that a complete, noncompact gradient almost Ricci soliton admitting a nonparallel closed conformal vector field, is locally a warped product with Einstein fibers, while in the second case, under additional hypothesis, gradient almost Ricci soliton is totally umbilical if and only if it has constant scalar curvature.

On Trinomial Units Of The Group Ring RcN, César A. Hernandez Melo, Fernanda Diniz De Melo Hernandez, Patricia Massae Kitani
Turkish Journal of Mathematics
Let R be an associative ring with identity, Cn be the cyclic group of order n, and g be a generator of Cn. In this manuscript, for i ∈ N such that 1 ≤ i < n and gcd(i, n) = 1, the algebraic properties of the trinomial elements hi = -1 + g + g-i in the group ring RCn are investigated. More precisely, necessary and sufficient conditions are given for an element hi to be a unit in RCn. When hi is a unit, explicit formulas for computing …

End-Regular Flower Graphs CR,S, Joerg Koppitz, Suparat Phantukang, Phurinut Srisawad, Somnuek Worawiset
Turkish Journal of Mathematics
In the present paper, we study the regularity of the endomorphism monoid of a class of graphs, which generalizes the cycle graph. We give a complete list of all end-regular r × s flower graphs. In particular, for an odd integer s ≥ 3, the s × s flower graph Cs,s has a regular endomorphism monoid, i.e., Cs,s is end-regular. For Cs,s, s ≥ 3 odd, we determine the cardinality and the rank of its endomorphism monoid (including a generating set of minimal size).

Generalized Szász–Mirakyan Operators In The Variation Seminorm, Sare Yumruçali, Harun Karsli, Fatma Taşdelen Yeşi̇ldal
Turkish Journal of Mathematics
The aim of the present paper is to introduce generalized Szász–Mirakyan operators. This article studies the property of variation seminorm and some approximation properties of generalized Szász–Mirakyan operators not only in normed spaces but also in variation seminorm. We obtain convergence properties of our operators using of Korovkin’s theorem and the order of convergence by using a classical approach, the second modulus of continuity and Peetre’s K functional. We also give asymptotic formula and the convergence of the derivatives for these operators. We investigate the variation detracting property of generalized Szász–Mirakyan operators. We show the convergence of generalized Szász–Mirakyan operators …

From Rough Categories To Rough Groupoids, Mehmet Mustafa Beydaği, Abdullah Fati̇h Özcan, İlhan İçen
Turkish Journal of Mathematics
In this study, we introduce the concepts of rough category and rough groupoid by combining the concepts of category theory and groupoid with rough set theory. We present some properties and examples of these concepts, which are discussed for the first time. Additionally, by defining a rough functor among the rough categories, the category of rough categories were created. Moreover, rough groupoid homomorphism, rough action groupoid, and category of the rough groupoids have been examined algebraically and introduced to the literature.

New Structures Of Golden Type On The Tangent Bundle, Simona-Luiza Druta-Romaniuc, Cristina-Elena Hretcanu, Aydin Gezer
Turkish Journal of Mathematics
The aim of our paper is to prove the existence of some types of almost (α, p)–golden structures, obtained as general natural lifts of the Riemannian metric from the base manifold M to the total space TM of the tangent bundle. We show that TM, endowed with a general natural almost (α, p)–golden structure (which is a generalisation of the golden structure) and with a general natural metric, is an almost (α, p)–golden Riemannian manifold if and only if the function coefficients of the almost (α, p)–golden structure are related to …

Monotone Positive Solutions Of Impulsive Differential Equations Asymptotic To Nonprincipal Solutions, Si̇bel Doğru Akgöl, Ağacik Zafer
Monotone Positive Solutions Of Impulsive Differential Equations Asymptotic To Nonprincipal Solutions, Si̇bel Doğru Akgöl, Ağacik Zafer
Turkish Journal of Mathematics
This study investigates the asymptotic behavior of monotone positive solutions for a general class of nonlinear second-order impulsive differential equations. By employing the principal and nonprincipal solutions of the associated homogeneous equation, we establish the existence of a monotone positive solution asymptotic to a nonprincipal solution at infinity. To achieve this, we also prove a compactness criterion for an effective use of Schauder’s fixed-point theorem. Under suitable conditions, similarly to the classical case, it is demonstrated that a monotone positive solution asymptotic to a nonprincipal solution exists. A concrete example is given to illustrate the results.

Antenna systems are a cornerstone of modern technologies, playing an increasingly vital role in their advancement. As demand for compact, high-performance, and adaptable communication platforms grows reconfigurable antenna technologies are becoming essential. This research explores a novel front-end reconfigurable antenna system (FERAS) architecture that leverages the mechanical flexibility and photoconductive behavior of semiconductor nanomembrane (SNM) devices. By exploiting the emergent properties of ultra-thin silicon (Si) or gallium arsenide (GaAs) nanomaterials and optically exciting these samples using vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) arrays, this study develops lightweight, low-cost, deployable antenna structures for satellite communications, remote sensing, GPS, and radar. Despite their significant …
Problems In Extremal Graph Theory And Spectral Graph Theory, Fareeha Jamal
Problems In Extremal Graph Theory And Spectral Graph Theory, Fareeha Jamal
Thesis/ Dissertation Defenses
Spectral graph theory is a subfield of algebraic graph theory that studies the matrices associated with graphs. It lives at the nexus of Linear Algebra and Combinatorics. Many intriguing results in the domains of Matrix Theory and Combinatorics have come from studying the eigenvalues of graph matrices; in fact, several open problems in both areas have been resolved. Beyond its theoretical appeal, spectral graph theory has found meaningful applications in theoretical chemistry, particularly in the mathematical classification of chemical graphs. These classifications underpin quantitative structure–property relationships (QSPRs), facilitating the prediction of physicochemical properties such as enthalpy of vaporization, molar refractivity, …

Augmented Reality-Assisted E-Module On Temperature Andheat Content (Emarks), Tetri Sabrina, Ika Mustika Sari, Dedi Sasmita
Jurnal Pendidikan Sains
Temperature and heat content (calor) material in physics often involves concepts and phenomena that are difficult to observe directly or are abstract (such as energy transfer, particle movement, and changes in state). EMARKS (AR-based E-modules) are important because Augmented Reality (AR) allows the visualization of these abstract concepts in the form of interactive 3D models in the user's real environment. This helps students understand the concepts more concretely and easily. The development of E-modules is an innovation in learning media that is relevant to the demands of the digital era and the needs of modern students. The use of advanced …

This research is important because it analyzes the curriculum as a primary tool for generating and maintaining participant interest. Curricula that are irrelevant, monotonous, or misaligned with participant needs are often the main causes of low motivation and participation. Furthermore, this research encourages the exploration and implementation of more innovative teaching methods and materials in training curricula. External pressure in the form of demands or instructions, rather than internal motivation, drives most training activities. This can reduce engagement and learning effectiveness. To overcome this, training institutions need to design programs that are relevant, flexible, and able to encourage participants' intrinsic …

The current education curriculum places a strong emphasis on developing HOTS skills (such as analyzing, evaluating, and creating) to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century. School learning often focuses on lower-level cognitive domains (memorizing and understanding). This research seeks to address this gap by offering a potentially effective learning model. The guided inquiry model positions students as active participants in learning, encouraging them to investigate, discover, and formulate concepts independently with teacher guidance. This strongly supports the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of the guided inquiry model …

Critical thinking is necessary for 21st-century pupils, but PISA data suggest that Indonesian students, especially junior high school students, lack it. The junior high science/physics light material is abstract and involves in-depth reasoning (reflection, refraction, and shadow generation). Without critical thinking, kids memorize formulas or notions without analyzing real phenomena. Discovery learning involves pupils discovering concepts via observation and experimentation. Critical thinking requires initiative, exploration, and reasoning, which these foster. Therefore, this study aims to develop E-LKPD based on Discovery Learning assisted by an interactive simulation of PhET Colorado to strengthen the critical thinking skills of grade VIII students on …

This report presents a framework for estimating Reliability Targeted Snow Loads (RTSLs) and Winter Wind Parameters (WWPs) at locations outside the Conterminous United States (OCONUS). The methodology integrates ground-based in-situmeasurements with gridded global climate products to generate spatially continuous RTSL estimates for nearly any location in OCONUS. RTSLs are computed at qualifying in-situ stations, and predictive models relating gridded climate products to in-situRTSLs enable estimation at locations lacking direct measurements. This report describes the development of the in-situ annual maximum snow load database, the construction of global gridded climate summaries, the estimation of site-specific RTSLs and Service Targeted …

In this paper, we discuss the development of students’ systems thinking about the rock cycle as they interact with an instructional module that includes three interactive simulations and accompanying questioning. We present the reasoning of six students from a whole-class design experiment in a sixth-grade classroom to describe how students’ systems thinking may be constructed and reorganized through activity with our design. Our findings highlight a framework of students’ systems thinking about the rock cycle that builds and expands prior work to specific sub-components. We also discuss an emerging framework for supporting students’ systems thinking through careful design of simulation …
