The study aims to collect and review (systematically) literature that investigates the impact of privacy on self-disclosure using Facebook. Another purpose of the review is to identify the theories/ models applied/tested, the software used for data analysis in the reviewed research, the quality of the reviewed studies, and the countries leading in terms of publishing on the topic. The research also intends to shed light on the privacy-related aspects covered in the published studies. As the nation’s state legislatures increasingly decide the issues that affect citizens most directly, the ability to identify, track, and understand state legislation is key to successful advocacy efforts. While all state legislative websites provide the status and authoritative text of the bill, this may be insufficient to understand what the bill seeks to do and why the change is being proposed. Sharenting is a term that refers to the behavior of parents who routinely share their children's activities in visual form (photos or videos) through various social media platforms. This study aims to explore the influence of parents' digital literacy skills and risk perception on sharenting activities on social media. This study adopted a quantitative method using survey technique as the data collection instrument. By applying the snowball sampling method, 70 participants were involved in filling out the questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted by utilizing IBM SPSS Statistic software version 26.. Sustainable development has become a global priority. The United Nations (UN) member states have endorsed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to transform the world by 2030 into a sustainable society. This chapter reports on academic libraries’ initiatives in East Africa, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, which were explored through interviews and focus groups with librarians from East African university libraries. Library efforts can be assigned to the five priority action areas: advancing policy, transforming learning environments, building the capacity of educators, empowering and mobilising youth, and accelerating local-level action, as envisioned under UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) framework …

The Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (GLS) is undertaking a year-long "Road Trip" in 2025, visiting a different public library system each week. This initiative aims to reconnect with library staff and potential patrons across Georgia. GLS staff deliver information, promotional materials, and engage with communities to increase awareness and access to their services for individuals with disabilities. The road trip also features a monthly blog to document their progress and build connections statewide.

Who Falls For Online Misinformation: Examining The Cognitive Correlates Of Vulnerability To Misinformation, Sanjay Kumar Chhetri

As misinformation sweeps across the digital world, there is a need to better understand the psychological processes that underlie belief and susceptibility to online misinformation. The present study measured vulnerability to misinformation through a proxy construct of verifying online information. Using path modeling, we investigated how cognitive styles, as assessed by the Cognitive Reflection Test, predicted the extent individuals verify online information and content. The path model also investigated the mediating role of conspiracy mentality and pseudo-profound bullshit receptivity. Based on a U.S. sample of 194 adults, we found that the cognitive reflection test was positively related to verifying online …

Since launching on September 1st, over 60 student abstracts, many accompanied by project posters, have been submitted. These works have already received more than 1,000 downloads a testament to their impact and reach.

In 2015, Jefferson Health completed the process of merging with Abington Hospital. In 2021, Jefferson Health completed the process of merging with Einstein Philadelphia Hospital. Graduate Medical Education (GME) leadership at both hospitals, in conjunction with the Thomas Jefferson University Libraries' leadership, identified a need for a clinical librarian to provide library support and services to their faculty, residents, fellows, and staff, building on a model introduced in 2019.¹ Library support is essential to fulfilling the scholarly output requirements of ACGME accreditation.² This was a new position created to help integrate both hospital networks into Jefferson Health …
