In this paper we discuss the Pacific and Regional Archive for Digital Sources in Endangered Cultures (PARADISEC), a research repository that explicitly aims to act as a conduit for research outputs to a range of audiences, both within and outside of academia. PARADISEC has been operating for 19 years, and has grown to hold over 390,000 files currently totaling 150 terabytes and representing 1,312 languages, many of them from Papua New Guinea and the Pacific. Our focus is on recordings and transcripts in the many small languages of the world, the songs and stories that are unique cultural expressions. While …

In the Brazilian context, we lack a methodology for abstracting audiovisual documents. To address this, several authors have proposed different approaches. As an additional contribution, this research proposes cultural warrant and hospitality as a principle that could be considered during the abstracting of animation. Domain analysis was used as a method, and from the analyzed animation institutions we identified the discursive community and the institutional proposals. From the literature reviewed, the existing approach for abstracting was identified and named here as the document dimension. High-quality service will increase student motivation in accessing repositories. This study aims to reveal the impact of repository service quality on student motivation in using research services at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Purwokerto. This research study used quantitative methods. This study found that seven direct relationships have significant impacts. This study found that Attitude toward_Behavior (AtB) highly influenced students to visit library research services—both online and offline. This article introduces The Suffrage Postcard Project (SPP), a feminist digital humanities project that utilizes digital tools to explore how transatlantic suffrage postcards and feminist digital humanities practices engender new historical narratives of the suffrage movement, especially in the United States and Britain. This article uses our Omeka-based digital archive of suffrage postcards to discuss the history of the postcard, the significance of a postcard archive to digital archival studies, and the significance of the digital postcard archive to digital history.

This study tends to explore the current scenario of madrasah`s libraries in District Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. A total number of six madrasah libraries were surveyed to identify their number of collections, building, selection of materials, acquisition, cataloging, classification, preservation of materials, types of users, the timing of the library, staff, source of income, and problems facing by these libraries. The researchers personally visited the libraries and collected data from in charge librarians through questionnaires and informal discussions. The aim of this paper is to defend a richer theoretical understanding of what we call monsters, and to argue for the development of document teratology, which we see as an important scientific issue for documentology. We start from the premise that the default state of communication is incommunication, and that documentation, developed to counter this, seems to have become overwhelmed from the inside by its own problematic development. We then discuss the opportunity of a document teratology, based on nuanced description of what the word monster means. This paper presents a bibliometric study of the LITTCRIT – An Indian Response to Literature journal for the period from 2011 to 2015 (five years). The purpose of the study is to give a gist of research output in the journal and the content of the coverage in it. The study showed that, out of the 263 published documents, the highest percentage was articles (83.65%). Among the 220 contributors, 56.64% were females and the remaining 102 males (46.36%). Between October and December 2019, investigators participating in an Ithaka S+R study interviewed fifteen Yale instructors who teach with primary sources in humanities and humanities-leaning social science disciplines. The conversations focused on the interviewees’ background, training, and experience utilizing primary sources in their undergraduate teaching at Yale, as well as their pedagogical goals, strategies, successes and challenges, and perceived needs as practitioners of primary source-based instruction.

Interviewees were eloquent in articulating the wide variety of pedagogical goals that motivate their work to incorporate primary sources in all formats into their syllabi and teaching practice. Very few cited any formal training …
