Present study is intended to cover situation of college libraries in the Barak Valley, Assam in terms of status of collection, services offered, staff position, automation status, e-resources availability and user’s satisfaction. The position of services of college libraries during the pandemic situation is also highlighted. The findings revealed that the selected college libraries of Barak Valley have very limited print and electronic resources. The present paper talks about the use of institutional repository software (DSpace) in archiving DICOM images. In the current study, the authors have tried to integrate the DICOM metadata standard with DSpace, which was compatible with DC & OAI PMH. After integrating the DICOM standard with DSpace, and the repository tested with a sample of ten thousand images, the retrieval results using various DICOM tags was very satisfactory. The study assesses the research performance and trends of global Seed technology research publications by using scientometric indicators i.e. publication growth pattern, author, institution and country research performance, the collaborative trend among countries. The study found that a total of 16613 publications contributed by 40588 authors from 1647 number of scholarly journals received with 350561 citations and h-index and g-index 182, 262 respectively, 148 countries have contributed in the Seed technology research. A survey concerning perceptions of academic librarians was conducted at a large, 4-year university with three populations: librarians, faculty, and undergraduate students. This paper presents results from the student population, with comparison to the librarian and faculty samples. The major research questions address perceptions about what librarians know (expertise and skills), what librarians do (role and duties), and what librarians are like (motivations and affective characteristics). Respondents showed a little more awareness of librarians’ professional duties than in previous studies; however, librarians’ duties related to organization, reference, and teaching remained more hidden from view. Objective Bibliometric analysis is one of the profound instruments to measure the research output quantitatively based on geometrical and statistical evaluation.
