Research Trends In The Field Of Literacy From 1917 To 2020, Waseem Hassan, Jean Paul Kamdem, Antonia Eliene Duarte

The aim of the present study was to explore the research trends in the field of “literacy”. From 1917 to June 2020, 3,35,893 documents were found by using “all fields” in Scopus. To explore the overall trend (of the 3,35,893 publications) we selected 9,52,642 keywords for categorization. Later we selected 32, 020 publications which represented the “literacy” word in only titles of the research documents. From these publications 74, 624 words were analyzed and arranged in eight (8) categories i.e., humans and subjects (43%), education (17%), literacy (8%), health (7%), information technology (6%), types of illiteracies (4%) and countries (3%). …

This article discusses the influence of the cultural context on the interview process. With literature demonstrating the role of spatial context on interviews, the article contends that similar consideration should be given to cultural contexts of research studies. Focusing on the cultural context where the interview takes place and the interactions during the interview can help researchers understand and analyze interview material. Interview forms such as conversation/interview bombing emerged from the interaction of cultural context with the interview process. Objective: This study aimed to analyze common subjects between information literacy and critical thinking papers indexed in the Web of Science Database from 1983 to 2019.

Methods: The present study was conducted using a quantitative approach and scientometric indicators. The data in this study were extracted from 160 scholarly articles in the Web of Science citation database.

Results: A subject analysis of keywords used in the published articles showed that most keywords were the subject areas related to educational research, computer, librarianship, and information science. The purpose of the study was to assess the correlation between four bibliometric indicators (Impact Factor-IF, Eigenfactor Score-ES, SCImago Journal Rank-SJR, and H5 index) of typical online medical journals were selected from the medical group. In the Fall of 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic raged throughout the world, educational institutions pivoted to online learning and supporting services, especially those found in academic libraries, adjusted. To better understand measures taken by academic libraries in Canada and the United States, the Association of College & Research Libraries’ (ACRL) Value of Academic Libraries (VAL) committee formed a subcommittee to examine how academic libraries adjusted and provided services to their respective institutions during COVID-19 pandemic. This report is the culmination of this examination.

Due to rapid smartphone health application growth and usage, we analyzed literature published in the field of spHealth Apps. SciVerse Scopus was used as the database of choice for this study. Research productivity, collaborations, citation analysis, authors and institutions were presented using well established bibliometric indicators.

During the study period (2000-20), 4546 documents were published in total. The average count of documents per year was 227. Greening The Archive: The Social Climate Of Cotton Manufacturing In The "Samuel Oldknow Papers, 1782-1924", Bernadette Myers, Melina Moe

Journal of Contemporary Archival Studies

This article re-examines the records and correspondence of Samuel Oldknow, a late eighteenth century textile manufacturer, within the context of the environmental humanities. Oldknow’s papers, a portion of which are held at Columbia University, are most often used by economic historians to date the beginnings of the factory wage labor system. We highlight, instead, the environmental implications of Oldknow’s cotton enterprise by juxtaposing documents related to the global reach of Oldknow’s empire with evidence of his transformation of the local landscape of northern England.
