The study is focused on examining the information-seeking behaviour of elderly persons in Ethiope East, Local Government Area. Four research objectives guided the study. A survey research design was adopted for the study. The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) has a long-standing partnership with the county’s human rights education and enforcement agency, the Office of Human Rights (PGCOHR), formerly the Prince George’s County Human Relations Commission (PGCHRC). The two agencies serve over 967,000 Prince Georgians, a majority-Black (64.4%) and Latin or Hispanic (19.5%) population with a sizable immigrant community (22.7%). The civil rights issues of 2020 hit close to home in Prince George’s County and the agencies have sustained a multi-year effort to provide residents with opportunities to learn how to engage with social justice topics for personal and collective advancement. …

Purpose: This paper is a review of the status of Research Data Management (RDM) efforts in UAE public university libraries. Approach: The investigation is through examining available literature about the topic using region-specific articles when available, librarian comments, and the information provided by UAE university library websites. Existing lessons and policy documents are sought, and plans suggested for local solutions, suggesting avenues for progress. The aim of the study was to investigate the performance of the Postgraduate College of the University of Ibadan website by conducting a survey of the postgraduate students using the college portal, and other services. The study was guided by variables from WebQual4.0, DeLone and McLean’s (1992) Information System Success and UTAUT Concepts. The study shows that the postgraduate college website has helped many of the respondents to increase their proficiency in performing basic tasks on the website such as course registration, printing of receipts, upload of documents and so on. Infographics are an effective means to communicate with audiences, draw attention, and make concepts digestible in a quick and straightforward way. This study explores students’ opinions on infographics used in library instruction, and provides quantitative data to help librarians determine whether these tools will help students engage with text and retain key concepts. Based on research conducted with undergraduate music students at two universities, DePauw University and the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, this paper examines how students understand and interact with content embedded in infographics, and measures retention of information presented in either plain-text or infographic form.

The use of information resources and services provided in the Library is paramount to undergraduates’ educational activities. However, low use of information resources and services have been presumed among undergraduates hence the study examined the use of information resources and services among undergraduates in Ibadan Library School. The study population consisted of 144 undergraduates in the Ibadan Library School. Total enumeration was used. University libraries cannot make meaningful progress without the commitment of their employees. To this end, this study examined self-concept and librarians’ commitment in University Libraries in Southern, Nigeria using a survey research. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from all the five hundred and fifty-six (556) professional librarians in thirty-nine public universities in southern, Nigeria. Libraries serve an important role in accessing information, delivering services, and fostering a sense of community. Libraries must ask whether they are serving all of their community members equitably. People with disabilities need to be able to access the libraries fully. This article first provides an overview of accessibility-related legislative history in the US, Canada and Ontario, and Australia to contextualize its impact on services to people with disabilities. The medical and social models of disability are explored. Lastly an overview of the history of libraries and accessibility cements the moral, ethical, and legal reasons to serve people with disabilities.
