Law School Catalogues

General Statement:

A Law School was first established in Richmond College in 1870. From the beginning there were able professors, but financial support was uncertain. In 1890 the family of the late Mr. T. C. Williams, who had been a devoted and useful trustee, donated $25,000 as the nucleus of an endowment for the Law School. In recognition of this gift, the name of the School was changed to the T. C. WILLIAMS SCHOOL OF LAW. At various times the School has received further generous gifts from members of the family of Mr. Williams. The largest of these gifts came …

Some Practical Aspects Of Section 77-B Of The Bankruptcy Act, Roger L. Shidler

Washington Law Review

Generally speaking, 77-B provides that a corporation which is insolvent or unable to meet its debts as they mature, may file a petition for reorganization under the provisions of the Amendment, and may propose a Plan of Reorganization. The Proposed United States Administrative Court, Part Ii, Robert M. Cooper

Michigan Law Review

The recent movement for the passage of the Logan bill and the establishment of supervisory tribunals for the control of administrative determinations is the result of several preconceived theories concerning the shortcomings of the present system of administrative justice. The present installment of this article will be devoted first to an examination of these fundamental theories and a consideration of the question how far the present administrative machinery is …
