The New Anti-Intellectualism In American Legal Education, Francis A. Allen
The New Anti-Intellectualism In American Legal Education, Francis A. Allen
Mercer Law Review
Legal education in the United States is passing through its winter of discontent. Those who are new to the law schools-students and young instructors-are likely to be unaware of how recently and precipitously the present mood developed. Even those who have known the law schools longer may by now have forgotten the confidence and euphoria that were characteristic attributes of the schools until no more than a decade ago.

Rights For Nonhuman Animals: A Guardianship Model For Dogs And Cats, Joyce S. Tischler
San Diego Law Review
This Comment describes the existing legal status of nonhumans in general. Through an examination of the traditional cut-off points for legal rights, it will be shown that nonhumans should have rights that transcend their utility to humans. Finally, this Comment presents a guardianship model as a possible way in which the substantive rights of two species, dogs and cats, can be implemented.

A New Approach To Grain Insect Control, G D. Rimes, M. T. Sexton
Journal of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, Series 4
Western Australian farmers now have a legal responsibility to control stored grain insects on their farms.
Ten species of insects, usually referred to collectively as 'weevils', have been 'declared' under the Agriculture and Related Resources Act.
In Western Australia, grain storage insects are not found in standing cereal crops. Thus, it should be possible to set up a clean delivery "pipeline" from the paddock to the C.B.H. bin.
