The 1949 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, and Dover Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by Jesse Blalock.The General Board of the Association recommended that a committee be formed to investigate the purchase or building of a home to function as primary location for the Association.
