Marguerite Carpenter was born in Massachusetts in 1906 and attended the Washington State Normal School in 1926 and 1927. She was the "Yell Queen," as cheerleaders were known then, during her time at the Washington State Normal School. She went on to teach Physical Education and coach girls basketball at Yakima High School in the 1930's.

Scrapbook made in 1926 and 1927. It contains many photos of her friends and photos of sporting events at the Washington State Normal School. There are personal notes with the photographs and notes made by guests and friends.
