The Self-Curating Musician: An Innovative Concept And An Intensive Learning Experience By Systemic Design Thinking, Joris Blanckaert, Ellen Loots, Saskia Westerduin, Pawan V. Bhansing
Journal of Arts Entrepreneurship Education
Self-curation is an emerging notion in the artistic practice that we propose as an alternative to the questioned notion of entrepreneurship in the realm of classical music. Systemic Design Thinking (SDT) methods helped conceptualize self-curation and develop an intensive, week-long learning experience. Understanding The Impact Of Transnational Education: Insights From Uk Tne Alumni, Sladana Krstic, Alexander Towne, Liz Worthen
Higher education research
This study explores the impact of UK transnational education (TNE). The research is based on analysis of survey data from 550 UK TNE alumni augmented with interviews of 27 UK TNE graduates. As transnational education (TNE) continues to expand – across borders, institutions, and delivery models—so too does the imperative to understand its impact. This extends not only to students and graduates, but also to the local communities in which TNE is embedded. This is a global study capturing views of individuals who have experienced UK TNE across over 70 countries. The study reveals the substantial impact of UK TNE …

Creating With Industry: Integrating Industry Projects Within A Tertiary Music Curriculum, Sean Foran, Patrick Carroll
Staff Scholarship - Australia & Dubai
Australian tertiary contemporary music courses often feature a curriculum that includes aspects of songwriting, music production, music industry, cultural studies, collaborative entrepreneurship and individual creative practice. Research shows that graduates from these programs commonly move into the often-cited 'portfolio career', which integrates diverse aspects of musical practice such as performance, recording, teaching, community engagement, and a digital creative presence.
At SAE University College, the institution is driven by structures and frameworks to ensure that student learning is authentic, collaborative, feedback-focused, and future-oriented. Learning opportunities include real-world tasks, projects and simulations that enable growth through experiential and experimental activities. Learning happens …

The Glass Menagerie, Tennessee Williams
The Glass Menagerie, Tennessee Williams
Taylor Theatre Playbills
The playbill for Taylor University's performance of The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams.
Performed September 25-28, 2025 in the Mitchell Theatre at Taylor University.
At its heart, The Glass Menagerie is a story about the grace that vulnerability makes possible. The Wingfield family—Tom, Amanda, and Laura—are fragile, flawed, and fiercely human. Their lives are marked by disappointment and desire, yet Williams invites us to approach them with tenderness. Laura’s glass animals, so delicate and beautiful, are not just a metaphor for her own inner world but for the human spirit itself—easily broken, but capable of reflecting light in ways that …

Journal of Community Engagement and Higher Education
This paper focuses on how the University of Michigan-Flint’s Innovation Incubator supports emerging for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations through programming, business plan development, and ongoing mentorship. The incubator is especially interested in supporting start -ups that address key social issues in the surrounding community, including economic vitality. This goal aligns with the university’s mission, which emphasizes that engaged citizens can exercise some control over the social, environmental, and economic factors in the larger community.
