Team Teaching - Elementary And Secondary, Raymond L. Peterson Jr. Jan 1970

Team Teaching - Elementary And Secondary, Raymond L. Peterson Jr.

All Graduate Projects

With so many schools taking a serious look at teaming procedures, our educational system is becoming more open to new innovative programs, cooperative planning, and a variety of staff utilization possibilities. A first year teacher or teacher new to team teaching may find such a program too challenging unless a situation is provided to orient the prospective teacher into an open-concept, nongraded, or flexible building where team teaching is taking place.

This project was undertaken because beginning teachers usually do not receive sufficient indepth training for working in team teaching situations. It is the intent of the writer to:

A Study Of Personnel Practices Related To Teacher Aide Programs, Kent H. Pratt

All Master's Theses

A growing number of school districts have used teacher aides or paraprofessionals. State Boards of Education have voiced concern that directors and administrators develop and follow sound personnel policies in the hiring of teacher aides. It was the purpose of this study to propose guidelines for (1) selection of teacher aides, (2) training of teacher aides, (3) supervision of teacher aides, and (4) evaluation of teacher aides. The increasing use of teacher aides has focused attention on a need for an organized program related to the problem. This study investigated programs which proposed guidelines administrators and teachers could use in …

The Superintendent's Point Of View Concerning Music In The High Schools Of Washington State, Morris Ray Pedersen Jan 1970

The Superintendent's Point Of View Concerning Music In The High Schools Of Washington State, Morris Ray Pedersen

All Master's Theses

A common philosophy of administrators and music educators should be prerequisite for a successful music program. This philosophy should permit enough flexibility to allow for individual differences and yet be rigid enough to encompass general education needs and goals. It can only be shared through communication. The place of music within the curriculum will be understood through this communication between the music educator and the chief administrator. It shall be the purpose of this study to encourage the shared philosophy and communication relationship between school music educators and their administrators.
