Ec35-50 Bindweed Eradication, T.A. Kiesselbach, P.H. Stewart, D.L. Gross
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension: Historical Materials
Field bindweed, also known as small-flowered morning glory, European morning glory, Creeping Charlie, Russian Creeper, and Creeping Jennie, is becoming each year a greater menace to farm lands. The infestation of cultivated fields with this pest lowers the yield of crops an average of 30 percent, increases the labor costs, and reduces land and loan values. It is therefore important that land-owners learn to identify bindweed and guard against its introduction on their farms. Where it has become established, steps should be taken at once for its eradication.
This 1935 extension circular discusses identifying field bindweed, prevalence and spread of …

The Relation Between High School Grades And College Success, George H. Lee

The method used in finding this value is that of correlation. The five high school subjects were English, mathematics, social science, science, and foreign language.
The Need Of Periodic Physical Health Examination For Teachers In Indiana, Eugenia F. Bossong
The Need Of Periodic Physical Health Examination For Teachers In Indiana, Eugenia F. Bossong
Graduate Thesis Collection
The present study is an outgrowth of an interest in the efforts of educators to improve the educational system in the United States of America. Education in the United States has made advancement and is still doing so. The increasing number of junior high schools is indicative of progress in one line. More and better equipped buildings give greater opportunities to the school children today. The school attendance law insures a greater attendance as does also the improved facilities of transportation.

The City-County Area School Unit Plan Applied In Bartholomew County, Indiana, Marie H. Talley

Causes Of Irregular Attendance And Truancy In The Indianapolis Public Schools, Carrie B. Martin
Causes Of Irregular Attendance And Truancy In The Indianapolis Public Schools, Carrie B. Martin
Graduate Thesis Collection
The schools realize that they have scarcely touched the problem of attendance due to the fact that the public is not willing to pay for more trained workers. However it is a serious problem and there are many causes underlying the difficulty. Since truancy is the first overt act in violation of the law and irregular attendance is expensive to the system as well as to the children, conditions should be improved as soon as possible and the causes eliminated in so far as it is feasible. A study of conditions is important and urgent.

Nebraska Tractor Tests
All tractors tested at the Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory were certified by their manufacturers as being stock model machines, conforming to specifications filed with the application for test. No special or high-test fuels were used except as recommended by the manufacturer as necessary.
All results within the official tractor test report were actually attained in tests and are without correction or allowances for friction, temperature, altitude, etc. The results were initially accomplished with the tractor in charge of skilled operators employed by the University.
Unless otherwise noted, each tractor was apparently in good condition at the end of the testing …
