The purpose of this investigation was to determine if North Carolina high school science and mathematics teachers differ in their STEM teacher self-efficacy, outcome expectancy, and attitudes toward STEM instructional practices. The data collection instrument used in this study was the T-STEM survey. Science and math teachers voluntarily participated in the study and answered Likert-type survey items focusing on STEM teacher self-efficacy, STEM instructional practices, and outcome expectancy. Additionally, study participants answered demographic questions on gender, years of teaching experience, and the type of degree earned. This study examined the instructional experiences of Math 1 students in the Green Valley (pseudonym) County School District during the 2022-2023 academic year. Using an explanatory sequential mixed methods approach grounded in constructivism (Bruner, 1960; Vygotsky, 1978), behaviorism (Skinner, 1938), universal design for learning (CAST, 2021; Meyer et al., 2014), multiple intelligences (Gardner, 1983), and Piaget's (1954) stages of development, this study explored how students' lived instructional experiences impact academic outcomes. Chronic absenteeism in K-12 public schools represents a significant national crisis, with millions of students missing 15 or more days each year. This transcendental phenomenological study investigated the lived experiences of parents whose children face chronic absenteeism, aiming to uncover the barriers and challenges that hinder consistent school attendance. Through qualitative, semi-structured interviews with parents from a small school district in upstate South Carolina, this research identified key themes related to absenteeism, including health concerns—both physical and mental—challenging morning routines, and life challenges linked to home and school environments. This mixed methods convergent parallel study addressed high school teacher perceptions of the impact professional learning communities (PLCs) have on teaching practices and Biology I end-of-course assessment scores of students. This study is modeled after a study conducted by Dawkins (2020). Research participants in this study were science teachers from three high schools in one rural school district in South Carolina. Anonymous online teacher surveys captured quantitative data using Likert scales and qualitative data using open-response questions. The purpose of this mixed-methods study was to explore these students’ perceptions of their executive function skills and how they described their challenges and successes. Quantitative data were collected using the Executive Skills Questionnaire-Revised and reviewed to learn about their executive function skills. The purpose of this study was threefold: to explore and describe characteristics of a successful early college high school student and early college high school supports and barriers. Two focus groups, one with early college high school graduates and one with staff, shared their perspectives on student success characteristics, supports, and barriers. Research has shown increased rates of attrition among K-12 teachers since 2021, with middle school teachers being the most dissatisfied. Burnout and job-related stresses are cited as the main causes of teachers leaving the classroom. Teachers experience the same or higher levels of job-related stress as nurses, doctors, EMTs, and social workers while receiving little or no training about compassion fatigue. This study examined compassion fatigue among a sample of core subject middle school teachers from one upstate South Carolina school district. This study examined employee turnover within a state-level government agency, emphasizing its impact on organizational efficiency, program continuity, and educational outcomes. Utilizing Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory, the study investigated the underlying causes of turnover and identified strategic solutions for improving employee retention. A mixed methods sequential explanatory design integrated quantitative survey data with qualitative insights from anonymous open-ended responses and confidential interviews, providing a comprehensive understanding of employee experiences. Promise Programs gained popularity during the Great Recession to increase access to postsecondary education amid growing concerns regarding student loan debt. Promise Programs provide tuition-free scholarships to eligible students, typically based on non-merit criteria. Two common types of Promise Programs scholarships are first-dollar scholarships, which are awarded before any other grants, financial aid, or scholarships, and last-dollar scholarships, which are applied after all other grants, financial aid, or scholarships. Both models have been shown to positively impact student outcomes such as enrollment, semester-to-semester retention, and degree completion. This qualitative dissertation explores the lived experiences of African American male high school principals in urban and suburban schools across the Chicagoland area. Using critical race theory (CRT) and counter-narrative methodology, the study centers the voices of ten African American male principals to examine how race, systemic inequities, and social justice shape their leadership practices, professional identities, and navigation of racially charged educational environments. These leaders consistently confront institutionalized biases and racialized expectations that limit their professional advancement while reinforcing deficit narratives about African American leadership. This critical quantitative analysis explores how social determinants of health, including basic needs security, caregiving and work responsibilities, healthcare access, discrimination experiences, and institutional support predict resilience among U.S. college women with dependents. Using data from the Spring 2021 ACHA-NCHA III survey (n = 4,417), this study integrated the Health Equity Framework with the Social Ecological Theory of Resilience to examine multilevel influences on resilience. Descriptive analyses highlighted disproportionate burdens among single, first-generation, and racially minoritized groups. Bivariate chi-square tests revealed significant associations between resilience and sense of belonging, basic needs security, employment, healthcare utilization, and self-assessed overall health. Flags have been around for centuries; however, vexillology, the study of flags, was not officially coined until the 1960s. Despite this, there is still a need for more scientific and empirical research. Using qualitative arts-based research (ABR) methodology, this study investigates the creative journey of students in an undergraduate geography course as they design a flag for a place of their choosing. Students were asked to interpret the concept of ‘place’ through their flag designs while also incorporating flag design principles. The purpose of this interview study was to gain better insight and understanding into what professional development is needed for assistant principals to be successful in the principalship. During this study, 17 participants were interviewed across three different groups: central office administrators, principals, and assistant principals within one rural school district. Based on the three different groups interviewed, the data provided that the perception is that assistant principals need more development in budget/finance, K-12 curriculum knowledge, school improvement, evaluations/observations, day-to-day operations, policy/law, curriculum/instruction, and professional development. This study explores how faculty across disciplines access and share scholarly serial content and what expectations they have for immediacy. The authors conducted twenty-five in-depth, semi-structured interviews with faculty of various ranks representing all Illinois State University (ISU) colleges. The findings, presented in the words of participants and triangulated with data from local sources, suggest that faculty use a variety of context-specific mechanisms to access and share serial literature. Participants discuss how they use library services such as databases, subscriptions, interlibrary loan, and document delivery, coupled with academic social networks, disciplinary repositories, author websites, and other publicly available sources to …

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสภาพ และปัญหาการจัดการเรียนรวมของนักเรียนที่มีความต้องการพิเศษในการเรียนรวมวิชาพลศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษา 2) นำเสนอแนวทางการจัดการเรียนรวมของนักเรียนที่มีความต้องการพิเศษในการเรียนวิชาพลศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่างได้มาจากการคำนวณโดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน (Multi-stage Sampling) และการสุ่มแบบเป็นชั้นภูมิ (แบ่งชั้น) (Stratified Sampling) โดยจำแนกโรงเรียนตามภูมิภาคทั้ง 4 ภาค และใช้การจัดสรรกลุ่มตัวอย่างตามสัดส่วน (Proportional Allocation) ดำเนินการส่งแบบสอบถามไปยังครูที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องทั้งหมด 285 ฉบับ และได้รับการตอบกลับมาอย่างสมบูรณ์จำนวน 228 ฉบับ คิดเป็น ร้อยละ 80 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ 1) แบบสอบถามเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการจัดการเรียนรวมของนักเรียนที่มีความต้องพิเศษในการเรียนวิชาพลศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษา มีค่า IOC อยู่ระหว่าง 0.6-1.0 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) โรงเรียนส่วนใหญ่มีความตั้งใจจัดการเรียนรวมวิชาพลศึกษา แต่ยังขาดบุคลากรเฉพาะทางและระบบการบริหารจัดการที่ชัดเจน จึงต้องพึ่งพารูปแบบที่ยืดหยุ่นมากกว่ารูปแบบมาตรฐาน (SEAT Framework) 2) แนวทางการเรียนรวมตาม SEAT Framework มีจุดเด่นด้านการจัดการเรียนรวมวิชาพลศึกษาให้กับผู้เรียนและกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอน ที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากครูผู้สอนเป็นอย่างดี แต่ยังมีจุดด้อยด้านสภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม ด้านเครื่องมือ โดยเฉพาะอุปกรณ์เฉพาะในการเรียนวิชาพลศึกษาของนักเรียนที่มีความต้องการพิเศษ และด้านครูการศึกษาพิเศษที่มีจำนวนน้อย บางโรงเรียนไม่มีครูเหล่านี้ จึงเป็นแนวทางที่ควรปรับปรุงอย่างเร่งด่วน

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาปัญหาและความต้องการในการเรียนรู้ด้วยการชี้นำตนเองเพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะการวิจัยบนพื้นฐานหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ทางการแพทย์ 2) พัฒนาโปรแกรมการเรียนรู้ด้วยการชี้นำตนเองเพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะการวิจัยบนพื้นฐานหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ทางการแพทย์ 3) นำเสนอปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จและปัจจัยที่เป็นอุปสรรคต่อการใช้โปรแกรมการเรียนรู้ด้วยการชี้นำตนเองเพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะการวิจัยบนพื้นฐานหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ทางการแพทย์ที่พัฒนาขึ้น ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสมผสานวิธี ทั้งการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณและเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้การทดลองแบบกลุ่มทดลองเดียว มีการวัดผลก่อนและหลังการทดลอง ซึ่งครอบคลุมการวิจัย 3 ระยะ ดังนี้ ระยะที่ 1 ศึกษาปัญหาและความต้องการ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยการสนทนากลุ่มกับผู้เข้าร่วม 7 คน ประกอบไปด้วย ผู้บริหาร อาจารย์แพทย์ แพทย์ประจำบ้าน เพื่อระบุประเด็นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนาทักษะการวิจัย ระยะที่ 2 พัฒนาและทดลองโปรแกรม โดยโปรแกรมพัฒนาขึ้นด้วยบูรณาการร่วมกัน 3 แนวคิด ประกอบไปด้วย แนวคิดการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนของ Boyle (1981) แบบจำลองการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนของ Boyle (1981) โดยใช้แนวคิดกระบวนการเรียนรู้ด้วยนการชี้นำตนเอง 7 ขั้นตอนของ Knowles (1975;1980) และแนวคิดหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ทางการแแพทย์ของ Sackett (1997;2000) เป็นเนื้อหา กลุ่มทดลองประกอบด้วย อาจารย์แพทย์ และแพทย์ประจำบ้าน จำนวน 30 คน ซึ่งได้รับการคัดเลือกโดยการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบง่าย เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบประเมินทักษะการวิจัย และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจ ระยะที่ 3 ศึกษาปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จและปัจจัยที่เป็นอุปสรรค ใช้การสัมภาษณ์เพื่อระบุปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จและอุปสรรคที่พบในระหว่างการใช้งานโปรแกรม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ปัญหาและความต้องการ โดยปัญหาถูกจัดประเภทเป็น 3 บริบทที่เชื่อมโยงกัน ได้แก่ 1) หลักสูตรและการเรียนการสอน 2) ผู้เรียน และกระบวนการเรียนรู้ 3) สภาพแวดล้อม และแหล่งเรียนรู้ ส่วนความต้องการประกอบด้วยแนวคิดพื้นฐานด้านการวิจัย วิธีการวิจัยที่เหมาะสม และการใช้การวิจัยบนพื้นฐานเชิงประจักษ์อย่างมีเหตุผล ขณะที่การพัฒนาทักษะวิจัยจำเป็นต้องอาศัยการประยุกต์ใช้ในทางปฏิบัติ 2. โปรแกรมการเรียนรู้ ประกอบด้วย 1) วัตถุประสงค์ 2) ผู้เรียน 3) ผู้สอน 4) เนื้อหาสาระ 5) กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ 6)แหล่งเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง 7) การติดตามและการประเมินผลการเรียนรู้ ผลการใช้โปรแกรมพบว่า ด้านผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ของกลุ่มทดลอง คะแนนความรู้การวิจัยหลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลอง โดยพบความแตกต่างของค่าเฉลี่ยของคะแนนความรู้การวิจัยมีนัยอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ …

การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นวิจัยเชิงกึ่งทดลอง (Quasi-Experimental Research) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้สุขศึกษาโดยใช้แนวคิดการฝึกสติที่มีต่อการจัดการพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าวและการสร้างสัมพันธภาพระหว่างบุคคลของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษา โดย 1)เปรียบเทียบค่าเฉลี่ยของคะแนนพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าวและการสร้างสัมพันธภาพระหว่างบุคคล ก่อนและหลัง การทดลองของนักเรียนกลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุม 2)เปรียบเทียบค่าเฉลี่ยของคะแนนพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าวและการสร้างสัมพันธภาพระหว่างบุคคล หลังการทดลองระหว่างนักเรียนกลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุม กลุ่มตัวอย่าง เป็นนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2568 จำนวน 70 คน แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มทดลอง 35 คน และกลุ่มควบคุม 35 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้สุขศึกษาโดยใช้แนวคิดการฝึกสติที่มีต่อการจัดการพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าวและการสร้างสัมพันธภาพระหว่างบุคคลของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษา จำนวน 8 แผน 2) แบบประเมินและแบบทดสอบการจัดการพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าวและการสร้างสัมพันธภาพระหว่างบุคคล มีค่าความตรงเชิงเนื้อหา 0.84, 0.89, 0.78 และ 0.83 ตามลำดับ และมีค่าความเที่ยง 0.82 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และทดสอบความแตกต่างค่าเฉลี่ยของคะแนนด้วยค่าที (t-test) ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1. กลุ่มทดลองมีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยของการจัดการพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าวและการสร้างสัมพันธภาพระหว่างบุคคลสำหรับนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาสูงกว่า ก่อนการทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 2. กลุ่มทดลองมีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยของการจัดการพฤติกรรมก้าวร้าวและการสร้างสัมพันธภาพระหว่างบุคคลสำหรับนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาสูงกว่า นักเรียนกลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

Marginalized groups such as the LGBTQ+ community are known to face healthcare disparities that negatively affect their process of navigating healthcare systems. This project explores the perceived lack of representation and understanding of the LGBTQ+ community within healthcare settings, exposing the deficits in knowledge for unique challenges and inequalities these patients may face. By viewing the literature, a myriad of complications faced by LGBTQ+ people in clinical settings can be identified. They possess a generalized feeling of mistrust towards the healthcare system.
