An Examination Of Emergent Functions And Responsibilities Of The Instructional Media Center In Alaskan Schools, Marvin E. Sophusson

This paper is concerned with the status of instructional media programs in Alaskan schools. It presents a survey of instructional materials facilities available in Alaskan schools. An identification of current practices and standards in instructional media centers is investigated.

Conclusions are drawn and recommendations made for implementation of these current practices and standards into the Alaskan schools and school system.

A Study Of Secondary School Students' Right To Free Expression As Granted By The First Amendment To The United States Constitution, Sharon Elain Wenzl Wright

The investigator studied the application of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution to secondary school students' right to free expression. The investigator examined landmark cases such as Tinker v Des Moines Independent Community School District in order to depict the historical development of extending constitutional rights to secondary school students.

The study encompasses both landmark cases (those cases involving highly significant decisions that established a precedent) and relevant cases which led to the present judicial posture regarding secondary students' right to free expression. Findings of the case study reveal the present judiciary standard to rest on the application …

I have attempted to apply the imagination of my senses to the furniture object in order to satisfy other human needs aside from comfort. These artistic requirements remove the piece of furniture from the realm of neutrality and tastefulness and expect the viewer - user to experience visual communication.

The major problem in this study is to find how closed circuit television can be used effectively in Industrial Arts. Several secondary problems are involved with this main problem. The most important of these is teacher presentation. The methodology and mannerisms of a television teacher need to be such that they do not take away from the subject matter to be taught. (Stashoff, 1966, p. 50). The television teacher must be careful to avoid quick distracting movements which would change viewer attention from the learning object to the teacher.
