Bachelors’ Theses
The aim in the teaching of spelling is to give the child ability to arrange the letters in such formation as to correspond to the idea which exists in the mind. The word is an expressed symbol of an idea. Thia expression is to be read as well as written. Our knowledge of word forms comes through the sense of sight and hearing and they are acted upon by the judgment which affirms or denies the identity of ideas and gives the material in this juclgnent for a new judgment, this process being reasoning.

The Law Of Averages And Insurances: A High School Project, William Henry Fouse
William Henry Fouse Collection
Written by William Henry Fouse: The writing of these pages is the outgrowth of attempts made by the author in trying to solve real, puzzling problems that confronted him in the schools room.
