These are normal times, not crisis times, in the other-end-of-the-telescope view of MATTHEW MELKO, and we should value this age as such and use this insight to improve the lives of others and ourselves. A professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and a pioneer in worldview studies, Melko's essay here summarizes thoughts which will shortly be given book-length treatment by Paragon. Nexus Literary Journal
Nexus is a magazine that began as an insert in the Wright State Guardian student newspaper in 1965 and has since been published semi-regularly. It began only accepting creative writing, but has since expanded to include illustrations, photography and other non-written art forms. Today, it is published in a digital format and accepts submissions from around the country, though it maintains its commitment to the Wright State Community.

RISD Voice was a long-running student newspaper that ran through the 1980s. This issue, dated January 18, 1989, includes articles on Martin Luther King Jr., art world updates, changes in spring registration, a new co-op art gallery founded by RISD students and alumni called Moxie Logic, a new Act in Rhode Island mandating AIDS testing of certain segments of the population, the dangers of working with certain materials in non-ventilated spaces, using gouache, RISD meal plans, and life outside of RISD, along with editorials, comics, notices, and advertisements.

The aim of this study is to demonstrate a particular aspect of Camilo Jose Cela’s writing, that is, his sympathy and concern for the underprivileged and those people alienated from the mainstream of society. It will thereby endeavour to reveal Cela’s deep understanding of the human condition. This thesis analyses four of Cela’s works, namely, La familia de Pascual, La calmena, Viole a la Alcarria and San Camilo 36 and compares two of them, La calmeno and San Camilo 36. The study concludes with a detailed look Cela's treatment of humanitarian issues, a literary quality that explains why this author …
