Throughout its history, the Evangelical Church has always been concerned for the underprivileged and unreached. Through a comprehensive survey of the needs of the mountains of Kentucky, it was decided that this was a logical place to do missionary service. The underprivileged of the mountains of Kentucky had long since been neglected. The Evangelical Church accepted that area to further its Missionary enterprises.

This paper was written with three objectives in view. First, the writer desired a better understanding of the work which is part of the missionary outreach of his denomination. Secondly, the writer hopes some day to become …

In a country where only 2.53 per cent of the female population is literate, the importance of education for girls cannot be overestimated. India, being freed from British Rule in 1947, is now an independent self-governing nation. In its draft constitution it has accepted the democratic way of life. Democracy postulates an equality of opportunity for every individual to develop his abilities to the fullest extent and to be able to play his proper role in society. Since the beginning of the twentieth century missionary leaders have become aware of the national church as the focal point of their difficulties. The church on the mission field is a victory in itself, but with it comes an awareness of problems both new and old. The purpose of this thesis is to discuss and analyze these problems and draw certain conclusions. The procedure will follow this outline: (1) Definition (2) The Problems Involved (3) Origin of the Problems (4) Efforts Toward Resolution of the Problems.

The 1924 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist Association took place at Double Springs Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The introductory sermon was delivered by R. L. Lemons. The Committee on Church Finance recommends creating a budget system for church member contributions. Wallace Grove Church was admitted to the Association. The Committee on Education recommends providing financial support for rebuilding Meredith College. The Boiling Springs High School Annual Report indicated that the Memorial Building construction is nearly complete.
