Relation Of Economics To Higher Accounting, Joseph French Johnson Jan 1901

Relation Of Economics To Higher Accounting, Joseph French Johnson

Individual and Corporate Publications

I have always had, as most men seem to have, a rather hazy idea of what is called the science of accounting, and of the exact difference between the work of the accountant and the work of the bookkeeper. There is a difference, however, and in my remarks I shall endeavor to make clear the distinction as well as the relation of each to political economy.

Catalogues That Tell How, Elmer L. Hartmann

Bachelors’ Theses

The most important factor in the production of a good catalogue is a perfectly clear idea as to exactly what the catalogue is meant to accomplish. It is often tritely said that a catalogue is to "sell goods." In truth, the best thing that a catalogue can do is to procure "an order" for goods but before this can happen some thing must occur after the receipt of the catalogue before any goods are actually sold, and that something generally happens in the mind of the buyer.

Street Railway Accounting, Arthur Duffy Jan 1900

Bachelors’ Theses

Street Railway accounting is divided under two main heads, Outside and Inside accounting. Inside accounting is that accounting which is done in the main office after the material has been assembled from the different outside sources. It is very similar to the accounting tor any other large corporation.
