Non-Standard Workweek Scheduling Technique Selection, John Alexander Oak

Theses

This thesis presents a description of non-standard work scheduling techniques and a comparison method which enables decision-makers to differentiate between available work-scheduling alternatives with the purpose in mind of selecting the most appropriate and suitable arrangement. The method developed calls for the decision-maker to follow a five-step sequential process to obtain final results. The ingredients necessary to achieve such final results are obtained in a manner similar to that demanded by decision-making-under-uncertainty conditions commonly followed in actual industrial settings.

the past several years, I have noticed that the presenters have typically done two things: they have reviewed some of their most significant research or theoretical contributions, and they have engaged in some freewheeling speculations or prescriptions about future trends. I intend to do both of these tonight. Those persons involved with the curriculum in the Business Education Department at Utah State University need to be kept informed of the current location and employment status of graduates from the distributive education program at that institution. This will enable them to keep abreast of the needs of the program for training teacher-coordinators and others to be employed in the field of distribution. If the graduates are employed in distributive education positions, a knowledge of their attitudes toward the curriculum they followed at the university will help in evaluating and upgrading to meet the needs of a changing world. The terms "social work," "casework," and "counseling" signify similar but separate professions, occupations, and techniques. Their places within the spectrum of community or helping services are clarified by a discussion of relevant literature. Based on these perspectives, a survey of 104 local helping service agencies and organizations was under taken to establish employment qualifications (educational, experiential, professional) for the helping professions. Follow-up was done in 10 situations where Master's Degrees in Social Work, Counseling, and Psychology were required for employment—to determine the particular value of the degree for the specific position. The epidemiologic aspects of field crop infestation and disease spread have been the subject of scientific inquiry across the globe for a number of decades. Scientific researches into the agrotechnic aspects of plant protection have been equally extensive and productive of pragmatic results. Hard data are available for each of a number of crops regarding the economic impact of yield and quality reductions attributable to specific diseases and their level of progress at harvesting time.
