A Tax Friendly Approach To Agrivoltaics, Avery S. Younis May 2025

A Tax Friendly Approach To Agrivoltaics, Avery S. Younis

Richmond Journal of Law & Technology

The first reported agrivoltaic farm experiment was performed on lettuce crops in 2013 in Montpellier, France. Ground-mounted solar panels were co-located with either food crops or livestock to simultaneously engage in agricultural activities while producing energy. This dual purposing of land is called agrivoltaics. Agrivoltaic projects are promising because the co-location aids with food production, renewable energy production, and preservation of natural resources. In America, the agricultural industry is supported by a myriad of policies protecting and benefitting farmers. One such benefit comes from current use programs. Many states offer current use programs in which agricultural land is assessed and …

Redefining Female Leadership In The Fashion And Apparel Industry: Equity And Equality, Elaine Grullón

JWU Dissertations & Theses

Female leadership in the fashion and apparel industry has increased recently; however, females remain underrepresented in C-suite and executive positions (Cassell et al., 2022; Field et al., 2023; Lindahl, 2024). Nonetheless, this significant industry employs numerous female workers within the different organizational structures in the United States (U.S.) (Kumar et al., 2019; Tagra, 2021; U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2024). Females encounter significant biases and barriers, such as unequitable promotional ventures and exclusion from networking opportunities. They are confronted with perceptions that undermine their effectiveness, hindering their ability to attain key roles.

The quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional survey design study evaluated …

In 2015, the City adopted a Climate Action Plan (CAP), which was most recently updated in 2022. The CAP established the goal for the community to reach net zero emissions by 2035. In the fall of 2024, to boost the efforts of the CAP, the City of San Diego published their online Climate Action Plan platform, the CAP Dashboard. The …

Libraries Faculty and Staff Scholarship and Research

Critical and strategic minerals have become increasingly important in U.S. government civilian and military policymaking in recent years. Money plays a powerful role in shaping political outcomes by significantly influencing who gets elected and which policies are prioritized. Campaign financing, which includes donations from individuals, corporations, and Political Action Committees (PACs), often determines a candidate's visibility, resources, and ability to compete effectively. Those with greater financial backing tend to dominate media coverage and reach more voters, which can tip the scales in elections.

Improving Employee Turnover Intention: Outsourced Human Resources Vs. In-House Human Resources, Precious Carter, Gary Blau, John Deckop, Daniel Goldberg

Engaged Management ReView

Small business research has neglected comparing employees’ perceptions on variables related to in-house human resources (HRI) vs. outsourced human resources (HRO) in small businesses. We used a mixed methods research design to study this issue. The first study consisted of 11 in-depth interviews. The qualitative insights we gained helped to guide survey construction for the second quantitative survey-based study. For the survey, 101 HRI U.S. employees and 97 HRO U.S. employees filled out a survey. Results from the HRI and HRO samples were equivalent in terms of participants’ years of work experience, work schedule, gender, company size, company age, perceived …

This research project explored best practices and key factors necessary for implementing mobile credentials across the University System of New Hampshire (USNH), with a focus on leadership’s role in managing change. Using a mixed-methods approach—including case study analysis, a literature review, and survey research—this study examined best practices, challenges, and strategies for successful adoption. …
