Making Sense Of Teaming With Ai: Exploring Human-Ai Team Development Through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, Elizabeth A. Johnson
River Cities Industrial and Organizational Psychology Conference
As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly embedded in collaborative work environments, Human-AI Teaming (HAIT) is reshaping how employees experience team development and view AI as an active teammate, versus passive tool. This in-progress dissertation study uses Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) to explore how employees make sense of team development within HAIT context. Grounded in Business Psychology and designed for I-O psychology application, the study explores how employees interpret milestones of human-AI team development and navigate emerging socio-technical dynamics. The primary research question guiding this inquiry is: How do employees make sense of their experiences of team development while working on …

Improving Student Resumes: Evaluating The Effectiveness Of The Ai-Assisted Wisedoc Platform, Juan Munoz, David Earnest
River Cities Industrial and Organizational Psychology Conference
Resume quality is a critical factor in students’ transition into the workforce, yet many struggle to create documents aligned with employer expectations and validated competency frameworks. At the same time, most large organizations now rely on artificial intelligence (AI)-driven applicant tracking systems (ATS) to screen resumes. Because these systems filter applications before a human reviews them, resumes that are poorly formatted, lack keywords, or fail to highlight relevant competencies are often rejected automatically. This creates a barrier for students who may have the skills employers seek but lack the resume-writing expertise to communicate them effectively. This study investigates whether using …

Software-Defined Networking Powered By Ai-Driven Anomaly Detection, Dina Moloja, Vusumuzi Malele Prof
Journal of Cybersecurity Education, Research and Practice
Software Defined Networking (SDN) revolutionizes network control by separating the control plane from the data plane. Although the latter improves SDN agility and scalability, it creates a security hole, particularly in a central control plane, leading to SDN environments becoming high-profile targets for advanced cybersecurity threats. Due to static and signature-based point-in-time behavior, traditional security methods are unable to keep up with modern attacks that are an anomaly to SDNs. Artificial Intelligence (AI) with its different applications and techniques, has the capability of detecting SDN cyber threats’ anomalies. This paper presents the results of a literature scoping exercise that used …

The field of AI has undergone significant evolution over the past few decades. While AI is heralded as one of the most transformative technologies, scholars caution that its strategic impact may still not be fully realized. Given the strategic importance of AI in today's firms, it is essential to consider AI as a strategic orientation and understand its determinants in detail. Our study examines AI Orientation, defined as a firm's deliberate application of AI technologies to achieve its strategic objectives. Drawing on multiple theoretical perspectives, this study investigates the determinants that shape a firm’s AI orientation. This study employs a …

Existing Precast Company Condition In Indonesia With Five Innovation Processes For Continuous Improvement, Ranti Hidayawanti, Vincent Gasperz
Journal of Project Management & Construction
It is revealed that Indonesia’s Innovation in 2021 is ranked 87th out of 132 countries based on the Global World Index. It is a two-place drop from 2020 where Indonesia was previously ranked 85th. The sectors that appear to have the lowest innovation scores are the business progress sector, human development and research, scientific output, and creative output. This innovation rank indicates that business people in general, including in the precast concrete business sector in Indonesia, have not made good innovations in working on and maximizing their market potential and result in the weak competitiveness of domestic companies with foreign …

Exploring Employee Profiles’ Adaptation To A Return-To-Office Policy: An Eadr Study In Higher Education Administrative Departments, Laura Cecilia Ferraz
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Flexible work arrangements (FWAs) became a central feature of the post-pandemic workplace, offering autonomy and balance. In higher education administrative departments, hybrid models were widely adopted; however, managers struggled with accountability, equity, and effective communication. At the University of South Florida (USF), a mid-study return-to-office mandate required all employees to resume full-time on-site work, creating an opportunity to examine how employees adapted to the loss of flexibility and whether previously developed employee profiles remained relevant.
This qualitative study employed the Elaborated Action Design Research (eADR) methodology to investigate the experiences of employees and managers across three diagnostic phases. Cycle 1, …

Engaged Employees Deliver Returns: Evidence On Financial Performance From Spain, Carlos Gomez-Mugica
Engaged Employees Deliver Returns: Evidence On Financial Performance From Spain, Carlos Gomez-Mugica
Engaged Management ReView
Does investing in your employees create long-term value? Although many firms pursue employee-focused policies, studies show little agreement on which specific dimensions of employee satisfaction yield sustainable financial performance. Building on Edmans (2011), who linked employee satisfaction to superior stock performance in the United States, this study turns to the Spanish market. Using 15 years of data from Actualidad Económica—Spain’s most recognized benchmark for employee satisfaction—we apply Herzberg’s (1968) two-factor theory to distinguish between motivators, such as sense of belonging, talent management, and training, and hygiene factors, like compensation and work environment. Applying a Carhart (1997) four-factor model, we find …

Localized Nuclear Utility For Erau Environmental Improvement, Timothy Schroeder, Jacob Blanton, Christopher Anderson
Sustainability Conference
The reliance of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) on energy supplied by Florida Power & Light (FPL), which currently draws large amounts of power from fossil fuel sources, is continuously suboptimal both environmentally and financially. This study proposes assessing the feasibility of deploying a campus scale nuclear reactor tailored to ERAU’s power consumption profile. This serves as a path toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions and limiting dependence on external fossil fuel generation. The methods used are primarily literature review(s), and numerical analysis on comparable use cases. The literature reviews focused on design theory and yield of nuclear reactors on a …
