While conducting empirical research regarding the relationship between case characteristics and student performance, the authors were surprised to find a lack of conceptual and empirical research regarding instructor case selection. This conceptual paper explores the case selection process and introduces case selection as an under-investigated component of the case teaching method in management education. Case selection is important because it is a critical component of the case teaching method. There has been no empirical testing of the effectiveness of case selection technique. The authors identify and propose case selection criteria for instructors of management education.

This research examined comments in open response areas from 228 faculty and 659 student surveys regarding learning mode preference (classroom, online, video synchronous) instructor competence with technology and the impact of tuition reimbursement on student choice of learning mode. Most faculty and students viewed traditional classroom as the best option for quality interaction and learning. EagleVision Home (synchronous video learning) courses were noted for increased social presence and online courses were viewed as the most flexible option to take a class. This study fills a gap in the entrepreneurship literature by investigating creative achievement and intelligence within students who have been entrepreneurs. The study looks at differences in the levels of creative achievement and intelligence between students who have been entrepreneurs versus those who have not been entrepreneurs. The study used the Creative Achievement Quotient (CAQ) (Carson, Peterson, & Higgins, 2005) and college entrance exam scores and grades as measures of intelligence. There were several significant findings. First, students who had been entrepreneurs had significantly lower college entrance exam scores. The purpose of this article is to provide entrepreneurship educators with examples of exercises to foster creativity within their entrepreneurship programs. We discuss attributes that develop creativity as well as those that deter creativity. We also outline 10 specific exercises that instructors can use in their classrooms to stimulate creativity. The practical implications of the article will allow entrepreneurship educators to become more proficient in stimulating student creativity in today’s ever-changing environment.

Marketing educators are often faced with poor preclass preparation by students, declining student interest in attending classes as the semester progresses, and student complaints regarding previous bad experiences with team assessment activities. Teambased learning (TBL) is an innovative teaching strategy using semiformalized guidelines aimed to enhance student engagement and improve teamwork and, hence, overcome the typical problems faced by educators. It is our hope that by assembling these papers in one place, the Review will contribute to future policy debate on the importance of role models in education. Moreover, the papers' findings may have even broader importance. In many respects, the relationship between teachers and students can be viewed as analogous to the relationship between supervisors and employees. If the race, gender, and ethnicity of teachers "matter," so may the race, gender, and ethnicity of supervisors in the employment relationship. These papers thus suggest analogous types of research that could be profitably undertaken that relate to the employment relationship.

The purpose of this article is to discuss a new self-funding model of collaborative, regional entrepreneurship education among colleges and universities called the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium (EEC). The article will discuss the following: (1) the development and objectives of a non-profit entity among seven colleges and universities; (2) initiatives to educate students about entrepreneurship; (3) stakeholders involved in the process; (4) funding issues; (5) empirical findings that support the success of the EEC; (6) a discussion on how the model can be replicated; and (7) lessons learned and limitations.
