Belanda dikenal relatif terbuka terhadap homoseksualitas, kondisi yang tercermin dalam film Out (2024) karya Dennis Alink tentang dua remaja queer, Ajani dan Tom, yang menjalani kehidupan baru di Amsterdam. Penelitian ini mengkaji representasi kehidupan sosial remaja queer dalam film tersebut dan relevansinya dengan realitas sosial remaja queer di Belanda, menggunakan teori representasi Stuart Hall dengan pendekatan konstruksionis serta konsep congruence Carl Rogers, melalui metode deskriptif kualitatif. As the Korean drama industry continues to expand, K-dramas have evolved beyond mere entertainment to serve as a medium for representing and critically examining various social issues, including mental health. Dear X (2025) is a Korean thriller drama that explores the theme of Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD). Using a qualitative method and a literary psychology approach, this study aims to analyze the relationship between a dysfunctional family environment and the development of ASPD in the main character, Baek Ah-jin, based on John Bowlby’s Attachment Theory. This study examines the efforts made by the local government in handling the mass poisoning case resulting from the consumption of tempe bongkrek in the Banyumas area from 1988 to 1989 to prevent a recurrence. Bongkrek tempeh is an Indonesian culinary dish made from coconut dregs or cake, and it is not uncommon for this food to be contaminated by the bacteria Pseudomonas cocovenenans if produced improperly. Andrey Zvyagintsev’s Нелюбовь (Nelyubov) or Loveless (2017) portrays the absence of affection in a family through divorce, child neglect, and emotional disconnection. This study analyzes the reproduction of Zhenya’s mothering pattern through Nancy Chodorow’s feminist psychoanalysis. Zhenya is read in three positions: a daughter lacking maternal affection, a wife in a fractured marriage, and a mother emotionally distant from Alyosha. Using qualitative content analysis, this study examines scenes, dialogues, expressions, gestures, character relations, and visual elements. This study analyzes the representation of masculinity in Russian military recruitment advertisements featuring the slogan “Ты же мужик” ("You are a real man"), aimed at Russian men to enlist in the military during the Russia-Ukraine war. Using a qualitative research approach and mise-en-scène analysis, this research unpacks the representation of masculinity in Russian military recruitment ads through Roland Barthes’s (1964) semiotic theory, alongside the concept of hegemonic masculinity by R. This study examines whether Murabaha contracts used by Islamic banks in Palestine comply with AAOIFI standards and mandatory national regulatory requirements, in light of the 2019 Palestinian Monetary Authority directive and the continuing issue of incomplete alignment. Despite this directive, a comprehensive review of these contracts remains lacking. This research identifies inconsistencies and proposes amendments to enhance Sharīʿah compliance. The karst landscape of South Sulawesi served as the habitat of Toalean culture bearers, a Middle Holocene hunter-gatherer group active from 8,000 to 1,500 years ago, recognized through distinctive artefacts including Maros points, backed microliths, and osseous tools. This paper conducts an archaeological review of Toalean remains at Leang Panninge, Maros Regency, covering material culture, site stratigraphy and chronology, and population interactions within the Wallacean migration context, using a descriptive-analytical literature review approach. This study examines how the Indonesian conjunction dan ‘and’ is rendered in Chinese across syntactic units using a corpus-based contrastive approach. Focusing on children’s books, classic novels, and online news, it analyzes coordination at word, phrase, and clause level from a syntactic and register perspective. Findings show that dan ‘and’ does not correspond to a single Chinese form. At the word and phrase level, nominal coordination employs hé (和) ‘and’, yǔ (与) ‘and’, and yǐjí (以及) ‘as well as’ , with formal news discourse favoring yǔ (与) ‘and’ and yǐjí (以及) ‘as well as’. Contemporary ecological crisis persists despite decades of environmental ethics discourse and rising public awareness, a discrepancy researchers have named the awareness-action gap. One influential corrective, running from Aldo Leopold’s land ethic through Arne Naess’s deep ecology, addresses anthropocentric domination by folding the human being back into the biotic community as one member among others. This article examines the rise of herstory content on Douyin to explore how feminist resistance takes shape within China’s platform environment. Drawing on digital ethnography, we develop the concept of popular resistance, a form of platform-mediated resistance whose popularity serves both as a condition of political traction and as a mechanism of containment. To clarify this duality, we identify two dimensions: (a) popularity on the platform, driven by trends, aestheticization, and commodification; and (b) popularity within orthodoxy, shaped by state-sanctioned values that render certain forms of feminist expression politically permissible. This study proposes a gold-based calibration framework to measure real inflation and exchange rate misalignment in Algeria over the period 2010–2024, addressing the limitations of conventional monetary indicators in a resource-dependent economy characterized by structural distortions and a dual exchange rate system. This study investigates how productive zakāh management and service quality influence the welfare of zakāh beneficiary (mustahik), with economic empowerment positioned as a mediating construct within the zakāh ecosystem of Sungai Penuh City. Using a quantitative explanatory design and SEM‑PLS analysis, the research surveyed mustahik who received productive zakāh through a structured sampling procedure. The findings demonstrate that both effective management of productive zakāh and high‑quality institutional services significantly enhance mustahik’s welfare.
