A Brief History Of Providence College, Donna T. Mccaffrey
A Brief History Of Providence College, Donna T. Mccaffrey
History & Classics Faculty Publications
A New York City native drawn to Providence College by the love and example of her uncle, Rev. Cornelius P. Forster, O.P., Dr. Donna T. McCaffrey ’73G, ’83 Ph.D., and ’87G was a seminal figure in the history of the College — the same history she chronicled so fondly and scrupulously. Her 522-page doctoral dissertation, “The Origins and Early History of Providence College Through 1947,” described in vivid detail the people and the events that aligned a century ago to realize the bold vision of the Right Rev. Matthew Harkins, D.D., bishop of Providence, to build a Catholic college in …

Ua3/8/6 Report Of The Task-Force On Part-Time Faculty, Wku President's Office-Meredith
WKU Administration Documents
During the 1991 fall semester, President Thomas Meredith appointed a Task Force on Part-Time Faculty at WKU. He requested that the task force conduct a study and make recommendations to the university regarding such issues as part-time faculty compensation and benefits, rates of usage, quality of instruction, orientation and evaluation and administration and budgeting. The study was stimulated, in part, by the fact that the university has in recent years reached historic highs in the use of part-time faculty.

Textiles And Identity In Prehistoric Southwestern North America, Lynn S. Teague
Textiles And Identity In Prehistoric Southwestern North America, Lynn S. Teague
Textile Society of America: Symposium Proceedings
This study focuses on the place that textiles had in the lives of people in the central Greater Southwest after about A.D.1000, and in particular on the development of two distinctive traditions in cloth that co-existed in the central Southwest during this period. These traditions were the predecessors of two equally distinctive historic textile traditions, those of the puebloan people of the Colorado Plateau and those of the O'Odham in the Sonora Desert of southern and central Arizona.
Clothing is a basic means of indicating social identity, and in the prehistoric Southwest provides some of our most intriguing evidence of …
