Examining the modes of characterization and the types of personalities evident in the first seventeen cantos of The Cantos of Ezra Pound, one can perceive that Ezra Pound felt he was composing an epic which was to revitalize for the present the best minds of the past. Pound's method of revitalization has a close affinity Co the doctrine of effluences in Longinus on the Sublime, a classical work of literary criticism. The personalities Pound employs in The Cantos fall into three broad categories: gods (deific), legends (archetypal), and men (historical). The Logos Journal was published in the 1970s to provide teaching on the baptism in the Spirit for churches and believers in the Charismatic Renewal. The journal was edited by Dan Malachuk. Logos Journal was published bimonthly by Logos International Fellowship, Inc., a nonprofit ministry dedicated to communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world by promoting renewal and reconciliation in the body of Christ.

In the early decades of the twentieth century prenatal care became an accepted part of routine obstetrical care. This thesis is a description of the evolution of the prenatal care idea in the United States during these years. Two approaches are used in this description. An internal approach to prenatal care notes the maturation of procedure and technique. An external approach notes the inpatient and outpatient suggestions for providing prenatal care, the suggestions for educating the public to value and expect prenatal care and the medical profession to provide such care, and the varied promoters of such care, with their …
