This research paper asks the question, how are global media sources covering Donald Trump’s position on the issues of immigration and refugees? How might reader’s perceptions of Donald Trump be impacted by this coverage? By conducting a comparative, qualitative framing analysis of three international newspapers, El Universal, El País, and Pakistan Today, this project attempts to better understand how popular Mexican, Spanish and Pakistani news sources are framing Trump’s campaign in regards to immigration and refugee issues.
