Human Dimensions Of Woody Encroachment Management In Nebraska, Emily Rowen

Woody plant encroachment (WPE) is a social-ecological problem that will challenge conservation professionals and agricultural producers to adapt their management strategies. This research first examined WPE from the perspective of individual conservation professionals through an online survey. Conservation professionals’ attitudes about adaptation to vegetation transitions, such as WPE, were of interest because these attitudes are one measure of how prepared this group is to respond to WPE. Hypothesized predictors of adaptation attitude were tested through linear regression modeling. These predictors included ecological change, observation of WPE, or risk perception. This study investigated institutional repositories as a collaborative tool for users’ satisfaction in public university libraries in Abia and Imo States. Two research questions were asked and two hypotheses formulated to guide the study. The research designs adopted for the investigation are inferential survey and correlational designs. The population of the study was 5,294. The sample size for this study is 378. With the advent of artificial intelligence (AI), the field of creativity faces new opportunities and challenges. This manifesto explores several scenarios of human–machine collaboration on creative tasks and proposes “fundamental laws of generative AI” to reinforce the responsible and ethical use of AI in the creativity field. Four scenarios are proposed and discussed: “Co-Cre-AI-tion,” “Organic,” “Plagiarism 3.0,” and “Shut down,” each illustrating different possible futures based on the collaboration between humans and machines. The paper analyses 775 publications by the faculty members in the Department of Physics, University of Calcutta, collected from Scopus database for the period of 19 years (2001-2019). A number of bibliometric indicators e.g. total publications, citations, journal cites score, h-index, year-wise productivity, national and international collaborations, the most preferred and cited journal are employed for analysing the nature of publications. Bibliometric technique and open source software like Publish or Perish and Bibliometrix R Package are used for data analysis. The study focused on authorship pattern and collaboration in colorectal cancer research output as reflected in the web of science database for the period 2010-2017. Using various scientometrics approaches, the study presents co-authorship and collaborative patterns for different countries, institutions, and authors. We find multi and mega-author contributions which are increasing and dominate the CRC research. In the case of collaborative patterns, we found domestic collaboration which dominates the CRC research compared to international collaborations. Collaboration has become an essential paradigmin sustainable development research and in strategies for meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study uses bibliometric methods and network analysis to examine research output and collaboration supporting the SDGs and explores means to detect and analyze research collaboration beyond the traditional definition of multiple, one-time co-authorship. We employed two additional lenses of collaboration: repeat collaboration and collaboration time point to quantify and visualize co-authorship data sourced from Microsoft Academic Graph. The Production, Collaboration, And Citations Of High Quality Publications On Urban Sprawl, Santha Kumar Ramiah

The present study explores the characteristics of the literature on urban sprawl published during the last three decades, based on the Web of Science database and its implications by using scientometric techniques. The results of this study shows that the urban sprawl has grown exponentially during this period reaching 3272 papers in total. The United States was the largest contributor in global urban sprawl research, as the USA produced most independent and collaborative papers.
