Scopus is the largest bibliographic (abstract and citation) database of peer-reviewed literature launched in 2004 by Elsevier. In this study the research output of Dibrugarh University, a pioneer institute of higher education in North-East India is analysed based on data collected from Scopus database for thirty years i.e., from 1982 to 2020. A total of 1642 documents with the affiliation ID of Dibrugarh University. In the summer of 2020, librarians and undergraduates at Gettysburg College collaborated virtually to develop the DH Toolkit, a collection of digital learning objects for Digital Humanities tools and concepts. This lightning talk will discuss the collaborative framework for creating the toolkit and its future in DH pedagogy at Gettysburg.

In this article, we share a report from the field about the collaborative model of the Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) program at the University of Pittsburgh, and how the program’s cross-departmental committee and distributed approvers model built a strong foundation that enabled success in the transition to remote operations during COVID-19. We review some of the ways that libraries are situated in the configuration of ETDs at different institutions, present a case study of the ETD process and support services at the University of Pittsburgh, and discuss how the configuration of ETD support and processing helped the University and …

The paper investigates Indian Bioinformatics research during 2011-2019 using Web of Science database. It attempts to quantify the national contribution to growth efforts and identify areas of citation, h-index and highly cited articles. Also highlighted the growth of Indian bioinformatics output using different scientometrics indicators. The results show the output for collaborative study, top ranked journals and authors, citation of the journals, h-index, p-index score and mapping of co-authorship and cited reference. Purpose
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how an academic library can use a library-led, public, positive, and broad faculty gratitude campaign to help a campus embrace a culture of open education.
Design/methodology/approach
Using a literature review of faculty outreach efforts in the area of open education and an examination of the psychology of persuasion, this library developed a gratitude campaign that consisted of a faculty video, letters from the provost, signed cards from students, door hangers, and the delivery of swag bags to faculty offices.

This paper aims to carry out a bibliometric study on the scientific production on Education that occurs in Colombia and it is indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) database. To carry out this study, the data related to the documents indexed in the ESCI database of WoS were downloaded and, by counting frequencies, the patterns of document production by journal and by year, the most productive institutions, the indicators of collaboration in authorship and the type of collaboration were identified. What We Talk About When We Talk About Quality: A Librarian And Instructor Compare How They Assess Students' Sources, Elizabeth Pickard, Sarah Sterling

This case study explores and compares how a librarian and an instructor evaluated the quality of bibliographies students produced for the instructor’s class. The ethnographic study attempted to unearth nuances in the respective practical approaches librarian and instructor took to assess a source’s quality as well as differences in what librarian and instructor might mean by “quality.” Themes emerged as indicators of quality that librarian and instructor applied differently in terms of frequency and weight. Findings also included that librarian and instructor looked to different aspects of citations to demonstrate common values, such as thoroughness, and to reflect the quality …

Many strategic plans start from a top-down approach, with a committee or key group of stakeholders making decisions affecting the entire organization. While the process of developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan requires significant tactical work, it can also foster a more inclusive, staff-centered organization. The Gleeson Library | Geschke Learning Resource Center at the University of San Francisco has just completed its first library-wide strategic plan. In alignment with our values and mission, we intentionally chose a more democratic, grass-roots process designed to build consensus and foster inclusivity by engaging and empowering staff across all departments.

To elevate diverse voices and collections at Winthrop University, the Dacus Library Display Committee began collaborating with campus community partners to coordinate library displays with campus events. We found that collaborative displays had a higher rate of engagement, and encouraged additional partnerships throughout our campus community.

This poster describes a project to automate portions of JMU Libraries' workflow for distributing Special Collections finding aids to various discovery platforms. Through the development of a custom Python app called Spaceport, we were able to greatly improve the efficiency and sustainability of this process while also providing a more consistent discovery experience for our patrons. The project also had broad impacts in other areas. Our incremental and collaborative approach provided space for professional development related to the project, supported evolving project goals and the process of adapting to the new workflow, and strengthened relationships between departments. Through a grant-funded opportunity called CARLI Counts, I participated in in-person and online training, mentoring, and team projects which enabled me to do a small assessment of the use of Interlibrary Loan, Reference services, and a nursing database by students in selected Olivet Nazarene University School of Graduate and Continuing Studies programs. The purpose of the assessment was to see if outreach to faculty or course-integrated library instruction increased student use of resources—a behavior which correlates with student success in library research literature.

Milner Library and the Graduate School at Illinois State University have collaborated on a variety of initiatives in recent years, such as presenting workshops for graduate students and providing guidance for formatting theses and dissertations. This presentation will highlight one of these collaborations: the inclusion of student presentation materials from the annual University Research Symposium into ISU ReD, the University's institutional repository. The presentation will cover the communication and workflow process between the library and the Graduate School, as well as observations and recommendations for those who may want to pursue a similar initiative on their own campus.

The Biomedical Sciences program at Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) is a rigorous, hands-on laboratory-based curriculum with course work covering physics, chemistry, biology, microbiology, molecular biology, and genetics. This ongoing process requires many changes, from budget and staff considerations, to revisiting the roles the librarians play in their respective academic communities. The Clemson Libraries Campus Feedback Task Force was created to collect feedback from a broad sample of campus constituents. Libraries are sometimes the least priority of a public school, a state university, a local government unit or an enterprise. With the efforts of its administrators and help of the innovative librarians, these libraries could solicit book donations and other information products, collaterals, library equipment and furniture if they have the right contact person – the CSR managers from the generous donors.
