Given the threat of a worsening climate crisis, there is a strong need for community and ecosystem resilience. Diverse urban agroforestry systems have the potential to accomplish both and meet many of the objectives outlined in the city of Lincoln, Nebraska’s climate action plan. Additionally, Berlin, Germany could provide an effective model for Lincoln in this regard given the city’s extensive history of established urban agroforestry systems. This study assessed use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) among Nsukka yellow pepper farmers in Enugu State, Nigeria. The specific objectives of the study were to: present some socio-economic characteristics of Nsukka Yellow Pepper farmers; evaluate the ICT use by the farmers; determine the types and frequency of use of various ICTs; and identify some challenges in the use of ICTs in the study area. This study assessed awareness of farmers on agricultural information services in Mara region in Tanzania. Quantitative approach was adopted and data collection used single structured questionnaire. Awareness scales measured three factors; awareness knowledge; agricultural information needs and lastly use of ICTs in accessing agricultural information services. The results indicated that majority (93.2%; 280) of respondents had little knowledge of awareness, (91.3%; 272) of the response, needed improved seed varieties and the average, (60%; 180) of respondents have low use of ICT in accessing agricultural information services. The main objective of the study is to determine the user satisfaction with the library. Although questionnaires were provided to users when the researcher took 0.15 % of the entire respondent population= 35392= 52 around 0.15 sampled. The three chapters of this doctoral dissertation estimate the responses of agricultural productivity, production value of agriculture, and crop supply to some external shocks and policies. Using unique panel datasets for Colombia and the United States, this research provides new insights regarding the responsiveness of agriculture to some socioeconomic effects and related market policies. Chapter 1 studies the impact of armed conflicts in rural areas on legal agricultural productivity in Colombia by using a production function that includes violence shocks such as the forced intra-national displacement of the rural population from 1995 to 2017. The study presented in this paper has examined the research productivity, for the period 2004–2019, of four agricultural universities located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The 4,120 research publications of these agricultural universities, as reflected in the publications-related output of the Indian Citation Index, were analysed to ascertain the growth and patterns in agricultural research. The purpose of the present study was to examine the awareness and use of databases by undergraduate students of FUAM one hundred students was randomly selected out of twenty thousand three hundred and twenty four (21324) in the study. A specifically designed questionnaire was administered to gather information about the awareness and use of databases by students. Results showed that the vast majority of the participants used Internet search engines rather than specialized databases and full-text resources. The use of mobile phones among stakeholders in Ghana in communication agricultural related information is gaining grounds. The findings show that farmers in the Ho West District of Ghana are beginning to adhere to the dictates of technology to enhance information delivery for their farming activities. The study shows factors such as level of education, income levels have a direct correlation to the use of the technology. The role of the library of agricultural extension workers in Osun State, Nigeria is very important. Structural questionnaires were used to collect data from 160 extension workers in the study area, out of which 149 (93.1%) responded and were used for analysis. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data using frequency, percentage table, and regression analysis to test the relationship between variables. Findings showed that all the respondents were educated beyond the O’ Level. The majority of extension workers do visit the public library to gather the information that is useful for farmers.
