Aim: The aim of the present study was to analyze the descriptive and content structure of scientific documents produced by Covid-19 in the Scopus database using scientometrics method.

Materials and Methods: The present study was conducted using a scientometrics method. The population of this study consists of 1353 documents in the field of Covid-19 in Scopus Database. The collected data were analyzed using Excel software and the subject maps of this area were mapped using RavarPremap, UCINET, NetDraw and SPSS software.

This paper attempts to highlight the publication status and growth of Hantavirus/Coronavirus research in India and make quantitative and qualitative assessment by way of analysing various features of research output based on Scopus online database during the period 1975-2020. A total of 3498 publications were published and overall H-Index is 50. During the Coronavirus Pandemic, the situation of libraries and the services they are offering have changed. The shifting from the physical world to the digital environment was disturbing for many developed libraries around the world. However, this switch created many complications specifically for developing countries that are suffering not only from the lack of infrastructures and materials, but also with high illiteracy rate. This article discusses the situation of literacy and the role of libraries and librarians in Morocco, shedding lights on the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic and actions done to overcome these circumstances.

Abstract

Background

In present study, we aimed to identify and evaluate the trends of the 100 most-cited research articles on Covid-19 using bibliometric techniques.

Methods

Scopus online database hosted by Elsevier was used to extract relevant articles for this study. We have identified the top 100 research papers on Covid-19 published across the globe based on their citations data. Further analysis was made to find the countries of origin, journal wise distribution, author cluster network, keyword analysis and inter-citation map to understand and to establish the links among them.

The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has led to the publication of many scientific papers. The goal of the present research was to analyze these papers using the Altmetric Attention Score (AAS). Statistics for 100 publications with high AAS scores were selected and exported from the Dimension database on May 22nd 2020. The major findings were that these publications were published in 34 different journals or preprint repositories. The purpose of present study is to evaluate the growth of scientific literature pertaining to Coronavirus disease 2019(Covid-19). In sum 1630 document published during 01 January 2020 to 6 April, 2020. Publication data were retrieved from SCOPUS databases using key terms and detailed analysis were made to understand the publication trends, authorship and collaborative pattern, country-wise distribution, core journal and most leading institutes. Structure Abstract

Purpose

This work aimed at demonstrating India’s scientific contribution on Covid-19 research and analyzes the emerging research pattern using various bibliometric parameters.

Design/methodology/approach

Indian publications data on Covid-19 research were retrieved from SCOPUS database using structured query. VOSviewer & CiteSpace data visualization tools are used to generate citation, co-citation map and keyword clusters for better understanding of the research pattern. The leading institutions, most productive journal, prominent researchers are identified and analyzed further to reflect the collaborative nature.
