Background Adult education institutions have been identified as potential settings to improve health literacy and address the health inequalities that stem from limited health literacy. However, few health literacy interventions have been tested in this setting. Methods Feasibility study for an RCT of the UK Skilled for Health Program adapted for implementation in Australian adult education settings. Implementation at two sites with mixed methods evaluation to examine feasibility, test for change in participants' health literacy and pilot test health literacy measures. A recently modified Elasto-Plastic Self-Consistent (EPSC) model which empirically accounts for both intergranular and intragranular back stresses has been successfully used to simulate the cyclic (tension-compression) loading behaviour of an Fe-24Mn-3Al-2Si-1Ni-0.06C TWinning Induced Plasticity (TWIP) steel between strain limits of ±1%. Lattice strain measurements acquired via in-situ neutron diffraction were used to further validate the modelling results. An improved prediction of the pronounced Bauschinger effect during unloading is achieved when the reversibility of partial slip in the 〈112〉 direction is accounted for. This result indicates a potential contribution of the stress-induced separation of partial dislocations to the observed early yielding …

To meet the fast growth of electricity demand, the traditional network solution tends to expand existing substations, build more new substations, and build transmission lines. Distributed Generation (DG) is posed as an alternative method for the network providers not only to accommodate the load increase and relieve network overload, but also to offer other additional technical and economic benefits. This paper addresses the issue of DG planning and has proposed a technique for optimizing the DG size and location to minimize the overall investment and operational cost of the system. Increased prevalence of child psychological difficulties demonstrates a need for feasible mental health interventions that are available to children and families. Previous research shows evidence for the effectiveness of family-focused, school-based mental health programs in addressing child academic and behavioral problems. However, various barriers exist that prevent such programs from being implemented with fidelity: ability to identify high-risk children and families; school staff and caregiver attitudes, motivation, and satisfaction regarding use of the program; and program costs.
