On December 29, 2014, an intensive archeological survey was completed in order to evaluate potential archeological impacts associated with the proposed construction of a new recreation center within an approximately 10-acre (4-hectare) parcel in south central Dallas County, Texas. Melissa M. Green (Principal Investigator) of Cox|McLain Environmental Consulting, Inc. (CMEC) carried out the survey for City of Dallas Park and Recreation, a subentity of the State of Texas, under the Antiquities Code of Texas (9 TNRC 191). CMEC conducted the survey under Texas Antiquities Permit 7121.

The Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA) contracted HDR to conduct an intensive cultural resources survey of the approximately 3.24 miles of 36-inch wastewater interceptor pipeline installation in the City of Lancaster, Dallas County, Texas. The Area of Potential Effects (APE) is approximately 3.24 miles in length within a 50-foot Right-ofWay (ROW). Approximately 1.35 miles of the project area falls within previouslydisturbed road ROW or area encompassed by commercial development. The remainder of the project area parallels Beltline Road, West Main Street, and Bluegrove Road and primarily falls just outside of the existing road ROWs. However, the project area intersects …

This report presents the results of an intensive cultural resources survey conducted by Versar, Inc., under subcontract to Civil Associates, Inc., for Grantham and Associates, Inc., and the City of Garland Engineering Department in support of a U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 permit for the proposed widening of Pleasant Valley Road and replacement of two bridge structures over Rowlett Creek and Old Rowlett Creek in northeastern Dallas County. During the current investigation, two historic-age structures (one culvert and one bridge) were recorded in the project area. The Fish Creek Slough site (41DL436) is a well stratified, multi-component, open campsite situated on an alluvial terrace on the west bank of Fish Creek in Dallas County, Texas. Discovered in 2005, the site contains an abundance of faunal material, charcoal, and burned clay within multiple, discrete stratified zones. The site was evaluated by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT ) as eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Because the site was within the right-of-way for a planned road and bridge construction project, and as directed by the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, TxDOT elected …
