This literature review examines a sampling of the last ten years of research on the relationships between academic libraries and English Composition Programs in an effort to uncover potential methods for a new collaboration between the Lied Library and the English Composition Program at UNLV. Three general trends are identified and discussed in terms of their strengths and weaknesses for local implementation.

Promoting awareness of the University Archives has evolved for me for the past six years as University Archivist. It started out as an idea that quickly grew into a wonderful relationship between the University Archives and the rest of UNLV. I originally promoted awareness through outreach services as a librarian in Oro Valley, Arizona. It was a nice way for the organization to get the word out about the new library in the neighborhood. Abstract: In the fifteen years since the explosion of the Internet, using cyber technology for work & social functions has exponentially increased. Yet the questions around how to manage such changes remain elusive in family therapy literature. In this investigation, we conducted a content analysis to determine to what extent marriage & family therapy (MFT) journals have responded to the integration of the Internet in couple & family life. We found 79 of 13,274 articles across seventeen journals focused on the Internet in some capacity supporting the contention that cyber issues are largely ignored within the MFT field.

Abstract: Through a case study utilizing the rhetoric of President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, this essay reveals the value of investigating the rhetoric of presidential surrogates in conjunction with presidential discourse. Support for this argument is derived from a close analysis of the combined rhetorical tactics of Obama and Clinton, illuminated by dramatistic criticism, value analysis, and mode of argument. Although an essential foundation for an analysis of an administration’s foreign policy rhetoric, the president’s discourse is not the only data that merits attention. This poster presents the purpose, methods, and expected results of a current on-going study. The experiment’s main focus is to test the perceived level of enjoyment of viewers through an experiment that will examine how sports commentary, fanship, and gender affect their emotions while they watch various violent sports clips. These clips will feature both televised National Football League and National Hockey League videos. Through manipulation tests and a main study, videos, surveys, and detailed data collection will be implored. References regarding the current study are available upon request.
