Fisher of University of Michigan's Museum of Paleontology and Department of Geological Sciences has found intriguing new information at the Heisler and other sites concerning Paleoindian food-caching behavior. New lines of evidence suggest Paleoindian peoples stored meat from proboscideans by anchoring under water in ponds.
