This study examined the career education needs of students and obtained information that will be beneficial to those involved in implementing career education into the existing curriculum at the local level. The major problem which this study addressed was the need to gather and evaluate information about learners in terms of their career education needs. Specifically developed for this purpose, the survey test of the Texas Career Education Measurement Series was used to identify student strengths and weaknesses in each of the 9 Basic Learner Outcome Categories for Career Education (Appendix E) and 26 sub-categories. The educable cerebral palsied child possesses with his disability many problems. His place in the spectrum of the community is primarily determinant upon his personal adjustment, social adjustment, and vocational adjustment. The research of literature will clarify these functions in his growth and development process. This paper concerns itself with the preparation for the development of a children's hands-on museum. Included is a definition of such a museum, a rationale for this type of museum, organizational considerations of a community museum, four exhibits intended to stimulate and guide children's cognitive processes, and a brief summation. The rationale for this children's museum is derived primarily from Piaget's theory of cognitive developmental psychology. Thus, the exhibits are exemplars of Piagetian curriculum. The organization section emphasizes Guthe's philosophy concerning museum organization.

The purpose of this study was to determine sentiments toward school expressed by ninth grade students and to further determine whether there were significances of differences in school sentiments expressed between Chicano and Anglo students and between male and female students. The School Sentiment Index, Secondary measured school sentiment by’ 83 items arranged into the following subscales: Mode of Instruction, Authority and Control, Interpersonal Relationships, Learning, School Social Structure and Climate, Peer, and General School Attitude. The terms "social work," "casework," and "counseling" signify similar but separate professions, occupations, and techniques. Their places within the spectrum of community or helping services are clarified by a discussion of relevant literature. Based on these perspectives, ad survey of 104 local helping service agencies and organizations was undertaken to establish employment qualifications (educational, experiential, professional) for the helping professions. Follow-up was done in 10 situations where Master's Degrees in Social Work, Counseling, and Psychology were required for employment - to determine the particular value of the degree for the specific position.
