Student populations at Gulf Coast universities and colleges are subjected to multiple forces working together making them an especially vulnerable sub-group to hazards. Research has suggested that college students represent a segment of the population that hazards research has frequently overlooked and maybe not fully appreciated in university emergency planning. Most prior research has focused on university disaster experiences, highlighting what went wrong, and what should be done but little research focuses on what is actually taking place. Among organizational consultants, human resources practitioners, and organizational leaders, there has been a resurgence of interest in the subject of employee motivation, in part due to the best-selling book, Drive (Pink, 2009). In this book, the author challenged readers to question their beliefs about what motivates employees; this challenge was based on research that questions the validity of widely used management approaches to employee motivation, particularly those based on reinforcement theory. Over the past three decades a significant change has taken place in the ownership structure of industrial timberlands in the United States. The once widely held belief that significant timberland ownership was a necessary ingredient for success in the forest products industry came to an end as millions of acres of productive land were sold from industrial forest products firms to institutional investment organizations, known as Timberland Investment Management Organizations (TIMOs) or Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). This paper attempts to study white collar crime and the cost it has on the United States' economy. White collar crime has many ripple effects including job loss, stock price changes, consumer price increases, jail costs, and court costs, and each of these comes at an enormous cost to society. Overall, this paper argues that more resources are needed for white collar crime prevention in order to save a large sum of money each year.

This paper examines whether the municipal corporate culture has adapted to Generation Y or whether Generation Y has assimilated into the municipal corporate culture. The conclusions presented are based on two surveys. The first survey was administered to municipal supervisors in Central and Southern Ontario to determine if their municipality has implemented the recommendations from the literature regarding the transition of Generation Y in the workforce, such as mentoring, feedback, and communication and the use of technology. For the present study we are primarily interested in the match between individuals' characteristics and their work environments. This match between individuals' characteristics and their work environment is known as person-environment (PE) fit. The current study's aim was to integrate and build upon the PE fit literature by investigating the relationship between various forms of PE fit and two forms of organizational commitment with a proposed mediation of perceived organizational support (POS) for PO fit and perceived supervisor support (PSS) for PS fit. This dissertation provides interdisciplinary insights into the role of client's internal collaborative experience in managing communication during a complex outsourced project, building a quality client-vendor relationship and ultimately achieving success in the project. Focusing on organizational legitimacy is an essential element to the survival of an organization. Suchman (1995) suggests that "Legitimacy is a generalized perception or assumption that the actions of an entity are desirable, proper, or appropriate within some socially constructed system of norms, values, beliefs, and definitions" (p. 574). Legitimacy must first be gained and then maintained. If lost, legitimacy must be regained or the organization is unlikely to survive. Organizations can use both symbolic and substantive means of gaining, maintaining or regaining legitimacy.
