This article begins where the initial account, "The pulley, A Memoir of a Bronx Industry," ends. In some ways my father paints an idealized picture. His eagerness and dedication seem somewhat out of place in today's world, but many aspects of the world he describes are still familiar to an older generation although contexts have drastically changed.
