The article discusses the highlights of the Georgia Council of Media Organizations (COMO) XXII conference of the Georgia Library Association (GLA) in fall 2010. The event was well-attended with almost 40 Georgia authors welcomed and their books bought. Emily Almond, Alan Harkness and Merryll Penson talked accompanied unseen slides on the topic "Georgia Libraries: The New Normal," library official Roberta Stevens spoke on the future challenges of the profession and 3,000 dollars was raised for the Beard and Hubbard scholarships in a raffle.

The article presents the Georgia Library Association's (GLA) installation of officers and announcement of award winners at the Georgia Council of Media Organizations (COMO) 2010 annual conference. President Carolyn Fuller, first vice president Elizabeth L. Bagley and second vice president Pat Carterette will lead the organization in 2011. Sarah Steiner, Doctor Melvin Steely and Brad Dexter respectively received the Bob Richardson Memorial Award, the Charles Beard Library Advocacy Award and the GLA Library Support Services Award.

The author reports on the accomplishments of the Georgia Library Association (GLA) for 2009. The GLA held its annual Library Day in Atlanta and it sponsored awards and scholarships, including the American Library Association (ALA) Emerging Leader, Hubbard Scholarship, and Beard Scholarship. Also noted is the support of the GLA to Read Across America, the Georgia Student Media Festival and the Georgia Peach Award. Another initiative of the GLA is the passage of a resolution for an honorary membership for the late AA Director Judith F. Krug.
