By using an ad in the local newspaper, a radio ad, and a telephone book, Aaron was able to interview residents about their connections, traditions, and beliefs surrounding the construction, decoration, and implementation of scarecrows. The paper contains photographs of various scarecrows, hand drawn illustrations of charts and data sets, and maps of the research area.
