It is nearly a given that most academic library directors feel the need to collaborate with other libraries to contain costs, develop new programs, and accomplish their missions; and historically, many have done so by participating in a library consortium, and sometimes in multiple consortia. In this article, the executive directors of The Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium, Inc.
