This thesis provides a comprehensive insight into Barack Obama’s energy vision as it was presented in his speeches during both presidential campaigns. In every period the ratio of energy references was first observed and compared to other topics. Subsequently the energy issues and sources of energy that Obama favoured in his speeches were determined. This work uses a variety of methods associated with content analysis: qualitative content analysis, quantitative content analysis and network analysis.
