Consumers are interested in making healthier food choices but the mandatory nutrition information panel currently in use in Australia is not easily understood or interpreted by most consumers. A simple nutrition signpost would be valuable. This paper reviews two nutrition signposting systems currently being considered for adoption in Australia. The authors conclude that a system similar to the colour-coded Traffic Light System is likely to be most useful.

Objective: The aim of this study was to model children’s potential exposure to television food advertisements under different regulatory scenarios to demonstrate the policy implications of regulatory change in Australia. Methods: Television advertising data was collected from Sydney commercial television channels from 14-20 May 2006. Extrapolating from these data, the patterns of food advertising under four regulatory scenarios were examined, including arrangements restricting the content, volume and timing of advertisements. Results: Each scenario resulted in a reduction of total and non-core food advertisements. Applying Formal Concept Analysis To Semantic File Systems Leveraging Wordnet, Benjamin Martin, Peter W. Eklund

Formal Concept Analysis can be used to obtain both a natural clustering of documents along with a partial ordering over those clusters. The application of Formal Concept Analysis requires input to be in the form of a binary relation between two sets. This paper investigates how a semantic filesystem can be used to generate such binary relations. The manner in which the binary relation is generated impacts how useful the result of Formal Concept Analysis will be for navigating one’s filesystem.

Investments in computerised information systems in the health industry in evident in most parts of the world. In hospitals and other Healthcare settings, increasingly, hands-on computer use is becoming an important behaviour for effective job perfonnance for health professionals. As the pre-employment (professional) training is provided at a number of different settings the exposure health workers have to computing will vary. Providing training and support to such end-users becomes a complex problem.
