The Catholic Portal, a gateway to rare and unique Catholic material, was created by the Catholic Research Resources Alliance (CRRA) in concert with its membership. This essay provides a brief overview of the Catholic Portal, its history, and its value as a research tool. It also introduces the following essays that describe specific contributed collections and explores the potential for the discovery of related resources within the portal.

A large and growing wave of scholarship has focused attention on a variety of contemporary forms of slavery. Early attention went to victims of sexual exploitation, though this is starting to slowly change with a growing body of work on labor exploitation. Previous studies focused exclusively on international trafficking and on the Global South whereas newer studies emphasize domestic trafficking and exploitation in the Global North. This article, and the special issue it introduces, suggests that it is high time scholars and advocates broaden their scope to more clearly focus on perpetrators and on the emancipation process. High-Level Creativity For Nonprofit And For-Profit Organizations: Inspiration Or Perspiration, Leslie Hennessy

Creativity is valued as an essential human ability. For much of recorded history, the ability to produce creative outcomes has been seen as a gift bestowed rather than as a capacity commonly existing in humans. In more recent times, however, research has suggested that there are a number of personal attributes commonly present in individuals who have established a reputation for being creative in their respective fields. Findings from a recent research study support this assertion. The Campus PRISM Project (Promoting Restorative Initiatives for Sexual Misconduct) includes an international team of researchers and practitioners who are deeply invested in reducing sexual and gender-based violence by exploring how a restorative approach may provide more healing and better accountability.
