Homelessness in America is not unique. In fact, homelessness in America has been part of the American fabric for centuries. According to Wikipedia, homelessness surfaced as a national issue in the 1870's; thousands of homeless people suffered in urban cities across the country. (Stanford, 2018). There was an extreme increase in homelessness in the United States after the Great Depression, which generated nearly two million people migrating across the United States.
