This talk addresses the next big challenge for academic and libraries, data sharing of research data – not necessarily tied to journal publication. Addressing the international research landscape where funding agencies have begun to require research data management plans, the talk discusses what steps an academic institution can begin taking, the stakeholders who need to be at the table, the challenges faced, and the lessons learned thus far.
