University Commons was filled with students eager to gain insights from “Creativity In The Workplace: Creative & Innovative Thinking from the Classroom to the Boardroom.” The program was presented by SHU faculty who emphasized the importance of creative and innovative thinking abilities that are developed through the university’s liberal arts programs and are key to workplace success.

Dr. James Castonguay was honored for going “above and beyond” his expected duties as a faculty member in SHU's University College. On being selected for the award, he said, “It is especially rewarding to me to be recognized by UC students because they have consistently been among the most conscientious, smart and hard-working learners in my classes. To think that I may have played a small role in helping some of them reach their educational goals is extremely pleasing - and humbling - to me.”
