This collection consists of materials spanning 1941-1947 and includes business records and correspondence of the Central of Georgia Railway Company as well as detailed reports of employees’ United States military service during World War II. These reports include employee military records, interviews conducted by Central of Georgia Railway Company of veteran employees, and letters expressing their gratitude for their service in the war. This collection consists of personal and professional papers of Peter Zack Geer, Jr. Materials span 1923-1967 and include documents relating to Geer's law practice, his service as Executive Secretary to Governor S. Ernest Vandiver (1958-1961), and as Georgia Lt. Governor under Governor Carl Sanders (1963-1967). The subject files contain information regarding the civil rights movement, race relations in Georgia, Julian Bond, Herman Talmadge, and Jeannette Rankin. The papers also contain the law files of his father Peter Zack Geer, Sr.

Bulloch County Sociological Survey, 1949, Zach S. Henderson Library Special Collections

This collection includes interview transcripts and demographic records of Statesboro-Bulloch County residents and their views of social class divisions and current events in Bulloch County. Documents were compiled in 1949 by sociological researcher, Bevode C. McCall. His 1954 dissertation, “Georgia Town and Cracker Culture” is a result of this survey.

Ogeechee Riverkeeper Oral Histories, Zach S. Henderson Library Special Collections

This collection consists of oral history interviews of people who grew up living on the Ogeechee River and its watershed. The interviews were conducted from 2016-2017 for Phase I of the Ogeechee Project, but the topics span a broad range of time - including family lore and artifacts from Native American settlement and the Colonial Period through today. Materials include photographs and written documents with audio recordings making the bulk of the collection. Materials were originally collected by c.a.s.e. Consulting Services for the Ogeechee Riverkeeper organization.

This collection consists of articles and letters-to-the-editor written by Roland M. Harper for publication in scholarly journals. Sometimes in typescript, his works focus on botany, conservation, and social conditions, primarily in the southeastern United States. Spanning 1906-1965, additional documents, photographs and audio visual materials pertaining to Roland M. Harper’s family history are included. The collection’s creator, Elizabeth Findley Shores, is the author of the biography On Harper's Trail: Roland McMillan Harper, Pioneering Botanist of the Southern Coastal Plain (2008).

This collection consists of the professional and personal papers of Cornell-trained naturalist Dr. Francis Harper. Materials span 1904-1972 and include field notebooks, correspondence, photographs, and audiovisual materials documenting the plant and animal life as well as human ecology of the Okefenokee Swamp area of South Georgia. The photographs within Series 1 show the flora, fauna, and people of the Okefenokee swamp. The photographs were taken by the Harpers while on their trips to the swamp. This collection consists of typescript articles on letterhead titled The Week: An Industrial, Financial, and Agricultural Review. The articles cover topics related to public utilities (especially rural electrification), agricultural diversification and reform, economic development in Georgia, and the work of the Utilities Information Committee of Georgia, an alliance between businessmen and landowners formed in 1919 to promote economic development. Most of the articles are undated but content indicates that they were written from 1926 through 1928.

This collection consists of papers of Bette B. Anderson from 1977-1981. The papers include general correspondence from the public or friends, chronological files (1977-1978) containing copies of Anderson's outgoing correspondence as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, appointment books (1977-1980), photographs, clippings, and speeches (1977-1980) given by Anderson to various clubs and organizations or as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. The materials document Anderson's duties in the Treasury Department during President Carter's administration and her interest in finance and banking.
