The study investigated multimedia technologies utilisation as a correlate of lecturers’ teaching effectiveness in colleges of education in south west, Nigeria. . This is for the purpose of ascertaining the relationship and contribution of multimedia technologies to lecturers’ teaching effectiveness in Nigerian colleges of education. The descriptive research design was adopted, while a multi-stage sampling procedure was used in the study. The study shared the experience of an academic library during the COVID-19 pandemic in a Nigerian University. The study was a descriptive survey to purposively sample 2687 subscribers to the library social media platform “the Telegram” used to disseminate library services. The findings revealed that there were more males (83%) than female (17%) subscribers, a total of 446 information resources were disseminated through provision of their links (402), as pdf (31) and Jpeg (8). ABSTRACT

Electronic resources are transforming most academic library systems and how students view and use these information sources is critical. The study thus explored students’ perceptions and practices regarding the use of electronic resources in public university libraries in Ghana. The study adopted the descriptive research design, and the quantitative research approach was used; hence questionnaires were the main instrument employed for data collection. A total of 537 students were conveniently sampled from six public universities. This study examined how effective the ICT gadgets are used in securing books in academic libraries and what technological approach the libraries will adopt in the future to ensure books are secured from mutilation and theft. The study was also to understand why students steal or mutilate books. A semi-structured interview was the qualitative research design used to collect data from six librarians.
