The purpose of the study was to examine the influence of academic disciplines on the use of library-based online resources for learning activities by undergraduates in the University of Ibadan.

The paper adopted the quantitative research method. Stratified random sampling technique was adopted in selecting the undergraduate students from each faculty and department with the sampling fraction of 2.5%. The sample size for the study is 303 undergraduates of University of Ibadan. Questionnaire was the instrument used to gather data for the research. 286 (94.4%) questionnaires were properly completed and analyzed.

The study presents an outlook of publication trends of eLearning research in the Indian scenario during the last ten years (2009-2018.). The data collected from the Scopus Database using the specific query statement. A total of 8181 publications in different forms (journals article, conference papers, book chapters, etc.) were being collated, tabulated and analyzed and inferences were drawn for the study. Further, annual growth rate (AGR) of papers; most prolifically authors, institutions; most cited papers; h-index; and citation status has been provided.

Developing A Web-Based E-Learning Model For Library And Information Science Candidates In India, Abu Ks, Dr.Balasubramani R

This study aimed at developing an e-learning platform for UGC-NET/JRF (University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test/Junior Research Fellowship) candidates in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS). At the initial stage, the content was developed according to the syllabus of UGC and, a jury of experts validated it. The Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) was used to integrate and deliver the e-content, and the portal was hosted on a separate website (http://lislearning.co.in/) to ensure remote access. The study also addressed the need for e-learning in LIS and points out the scope and directions for future research.
